Trump lost the popular vote.
But won the majority of the electorates, if they based it on the popular vote over there, it would be so unfair, the populated places in America are swarming with corruption, LA, NY, Chicago, Denver, Vegas, they would tip the vote the wrong way.......
To base it of popular vote, it doesn't give the working class little man and the Christian man that believes and supports the whole Truth and stands up for the freedoms in Christ, it doesn't give them as much say as to who gets in.
In America you can elect who you want to lead the main 2 parties as Presidential candidate, in Australia we can't do that, for example, if the Labor party chooses Penny Wong, and the Liberal party chooses Christopher Pyne, that's what we're stuck with unless if a minor party miraculously wins an election.
Right now it's either Bill Shorten or Malcolm Turnbull who wins the 2019 election, unless if Turnbull's leadership gets challenged and he gets voted out by his own party, or an highly unlikely shock result win from a minor party comes in. In other words for our Canadian friends on here, that's like Justin Trudeau Vs Justin Trudeau in an election.
It's up to the political parties to choose who they want to run for Prime Minister though....
