Was Jesus paranoid as well when he gave in his warnings?
He was not. He told his disciples what signs to expect before the destruction of the Temple and what to do. For some strange reason, people today seem to think that warning is for them. Some are so bent on having it be for them, they want to build another Temple so it can be destroyed.

Neither do I.
I haven't had time to research the matter; but it seems to me that this party may be trying to encourage Christian immigramts from Asia to form a coalition with the Maoris. I think they are very pro-immigrant. I am not sure about the connections, but I saw an interesting piece about SDA ministers getting together a few years ago . . . I think in a Catholic church? I couldn't make heads of tails of it.

You need to read and study prophecy.
I have. And more, I would say I treated Revelation as John said to: Read, hear and keep (or do). Most people read it the way for the same reasons other people visit palmists or astrologers. They want to divine the future. Almost no one wants to read it as written. Most people don't believe the first verse in the first chapter. It's pointless to try to discuss it with them. They want to read and know and then feel blessed. It doesn't say that. It has instructions.
I agree that she did well to show empathy and compassion for the victims. But what else could she do? Copy Bush and go to church, proclaim from the pulpit a war on terror and bomb Australia?
Some leaders make things worse in situations like that by making injudicious remarks. Then tensions flare and unrest ensues, perhaps even riots. Look at the US where Trump makes controversial and divisive remarks. Then he wonders why the country isn't united?
Modern Humanism, a movement that promotes equality, human rights, and the opinion that "No deity can save us, we must save ourselves...it says this in its 1973 Manifesto II:

We deplore the division of humankind on nationalistic grounds. We have reached a turning point in human history where the best option is to transcend the limits of national sovereignty and to move toward the building of a world community...we look to the development of a system of world law and a world order based upon transnational federal government.
I'd revise it to say "no deity is going to save us" unless we are willing to take the Golden Rule seriously. Hardcore nationalism is evil. It resulted in colonialism and slavery. Every country's leader first obligation is to the people of his country, but he must be smart about it. Trampling on the rights of people in other countries just because you think you can do so with impunity weakens a country. It may look superficially as it is exerting strength; but in the long term, it raises unnecessary opposition. Thus England found ruling its colonies as colonies became a burden. Allowing its former colonies more independence and even sovereignty increased the clout of the British.

World government isn't a new idea. Winston Churchill said, “The creation of an authoritative world order is the ultimate aim toward which we must strive,” and Charles De Gaulle was convinced that “Nations must unite in a world government or perish.”

The president of the Gorbachev/ Foundation USA, Jim Garrison ( not the same Jim Garrison of Kennedy assassination inquiry fame) said this:

We are going to end up with world government. It’s inevitable...There’s going to be conflict, coercion, and consensus. That’s all part of what will be required as we give birth to the first global civilization.

The Gorbachev foundation is one of several highly informal groups in US and world politics dedicated to the establishment of one world government. And they are all closely linked to the UN, with many having common membership and speaking rights.

Philip Jessup, a CFR member and World Court justice, writes, “National sovereignty is the root of the evil.” It sounds like Jessup believes individual nations should not exist. Could this be the United Nations' idea for a new world order?
Blatant nationalism is the reason the UN is so weak. If China, Russia or the US want to ignore what the UN advises, they can and do. There is no real "world order" since the most powerful countries refuse to acknowledge limits on them. If the World Court says China is unlawfully claiming parts of the ocean, China feels free to ignore it. Similarly, Reagan opted to mine a NIcaraguan harbor in violation of interenational law. If a smaller country's leader had done that, he would have faced charges of war crimes. Russia flouts the "world order" very frequently. Israel is vowing to by annexing land the UN said isn't theirs. The UN is weak, yet you see it as a big threat.

New Zealand bans foreigners from buying property
This was interesting:

The Government slightly relaxed the proposed ban in June so that non-residents could still own up to 60 per cent of units in large, newly built apartment buildings but would no longer be able to buy existing homes.

The International Monetary Fund called on the Government in July to reconsider the ban, warning the move could discourage foreign direct investment necessary to build new homes.

I doubt the IMF is right. What may not get built are expensive homes that only rich Chinese can afford. I think the people in New Zealand can find the money internally to build the kind of housing that's actually needed.

I haven't seen that at all, and it would surprise me if it were true.

Many in the church strongly disagree with some of our leadership having connections with the WCC. What meeting you refer to I know nothing about.
Most people read it the way for the same reasons other people visit palmists or astrologers. They want to divine the future.
True. Prophecy wasn't meant to turn us into clairvoyants. Jesus said "I have told you these things that when they come to pass, you shall know... Etc etc. In other words, once we can witness the fulfillment of prophecy, we then can understand the power and grace of God in ways that help us to more fully understand the future and how it will play itself out. History repeats. There is nothing new under the sun etc. Revelation, in conjunction with Daniel, uncovers 2500 years of history... Once we recognise how much of prophecy has been fulfilled and how and who by, the rest is relatively easy... The general direction... The major players... Time will fill in the details.
Blatant nationalism is the reason the UN is so weak.
No. The UN is not yet fulfilling the role and agenda it set for itself because God has set the timetable... Not the Kabbalists and numerologists of the secret societies and occult globalists. While they are attempting to rebuild Babel, God has not yet relinquished sovereignty and nationalism is still operating according to His will and purpose. Remember Daniel's prophecy regarding that?
KJV Daniel 2
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
Charlemagne tried to unite Europe... Louis XIV... Napoleon... Hitler... Numerous Popes... And despite every Royal of Europe being blood related (the seed of men) they have not been able to unite and never will... Even the so called European Union is fragmented. They shall not cleave to one another. The time is coming however that 10 Kings will join themselves (one hour) with the beast (global state) but turn against the whore (state apostate church) and destroy her. So for the purposes of fulfilling prophecy as per Revelation 13, 17,18, God allows Satan for a short time to have his way, which shall reveal his true character once and for all. Too late sadly for many, the world will finally realise they have been deceived and turn against the deceivers. But don't be fooled by what you see. Apocalyptic prophecy isn't conditional. It doesn't find it's fulfillment as a result of man's response or lack thereof to God's pleading to repent. The second coming and the events leading up to it are as inevitable as tomorrow's sun.

I found some things.
New Zealand People's Party - Wikipedia

The New Zealand People's Party was a political party in New Zealand established in 2015. The party has a particular focus on the rights of immigrants. Roshan Nauhria was the party's leader.

The party was deregistered by the Electoral Commission on 30 April 2019.

It turns out that Nauhria appears to be a wealthy Hindu from India. He appears to be currying favor through acts of charity. (I tend to get suspicious when a powerful person does charity and it makes the news.)

Giving back to his roots, Roshan Nauhria, a philanthropist par excellence — The Indian News

Roshan Nauhria, Managing Director of Nauhria Group of Companies, is well known in New Zealand for lending support to several charities, as well as his involvement in social and community work. Something he has done over the past several decades.

While he is one of the founding members of Balmoral Road-located Bharatiya Mandir, he had also been the vice-president of Hare Krishna Mandir (ISCKON) in Auckland. Even these days, he actively supports and is personally involved in various community works, despite his busy schedule.

But not the one to forget his roots, Nauhria, who moved to New Zealand over 49 years back, has recently taken up a major role in helping the people in need, in his home-town in Dharamkot near Moga city, in the north Indian state of Punjab.

With India under national lock-down as well, much like New Zealand, people have struggled to access essential food items, due to unavailability and loss of incomes.

Realising this, Nauhria is supporting around 80 people in his native village, majority of whom are widows, who are given groceries and other essential food items worth INR 1,000-1,500. Additionally, fresh vegetables are also distributed twice every week.

Moreover, he is also supporting the community kitchen – langar – of a local gurudwara for the last two weeks. Here, with assistance from the local municipality and its leadership under Inderpreet Singh, food is being delivered to over 1,000 people at their homes, making sure no one goes without food in such circumstances.

Back in 2016, he was trying to round up Chinese support. I'm not saying his position was wrong, just noting who he appeared to be appealing to.

Political party for immigrants to focus on crime

A new political party dedicated to immigrants will make crime one of its main campaigning issues.

Ethnic crime was the big influence in Roshan Nauhria's decision to start the New Zealand People's Party, which intends to look after Chinese and Indian voters.

The New Zealand People's Party says it intends to stand its first candidate in Phil Goff's electorate of Mount Roskill, should there be a by-election if Mr Goff is elected as Auckland mayor.

Mr Nauhria, who is the Party's acting leader, told Morning Report they would be working to target crime.

"I think crime is one of the biggest issues for our people ... we are targeted more or less everywhere."

Apparently the NZPP does not explicitly try to appeal to Maoris.

Awakening the sleeping dragon could determine the next Government | News | Chen Palmer

Roshan Nauhria was so fed up by the way Asians were ignored that he started his own political party.

The Auckland businessman made his fortune after migrating from India in the 1970s. In the past, he’s donated to Kiwi Indian MPs but gave that up a while ago.

“Their hands are tied,” he says, as he describes his disappointment at how little they have achieved for the Indian community.

“Asians are handicapped by the current system.”

Nauhria’s solution was to create the NZ People’s Party, with a list comprised entirely of ethnic candidates.

He runs the party from offices next to the Bharatiya Mandir Hindu temple in Sandringham. Over a cup of tea laced with ginger, Nauhria explains how Asians should follow the model established by the Maori Party.

The concept is hard for me to grasp. It seems unfathomable to me to form a party along race or national origin. Minorities tend to fare better by finding one of the major parties to support their causes. When elections are tight, one of the prominent parties will value their votes. Forming tiny parties isn't practicable if you ask me.

Nauhria accuses the government of “scaremongering” by blaming Asians for the country’s woes and says he’ll keep fighting until he makes it to Parliament.

My bad. I got confused. Give me time, I may get things straight. Billy Te Kahika is a Seventh Day Adventist.

Baptism - New Zealand - Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement of Australasia

It was on Sabbath, 13th December 2014, the day where the churches of the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement were reading on the focal topic: “The Doctrine of the Remnant”. Right after the fellowship lunch in Auckland Church, the whole band of members and friends met at Shelly Beach to witness the baptism of Brother Billy Te Kahika Jr. and Brother Douglas Thirkettle. It was a wonderful day where our brethren from Auckland district, New Plymouth, Palmerstone North, and friends from Hamilton and Thames were gathered together. On that day two souls were added to our church in Auckland. To God be the glory!

I'm surprised to see it if the SDA is getting political.

Okay, that is interesting. I didn't know. What I do know is that this is an individual thing and had no connection whatsoever with the official church. The Adventist Reform Movement is independent of the conference church... Holds to the same beliefs doctrinally but in practice probably would be classified as more conservative or fundamental. There are several Adventist groups scattered around the world like that. They hold to the very same doctrines, but believe the corporate church body has in some ways compromised in certain areas so they prefer to go out alone.

That's what Australia needs to do.
Average house price 20 years ago was $200,000 now it's $800,000 but the wages haven't moved.

Hah!! That's what we were taught in the middle years at school, possibly even when I started Secondary school, that a house would cost us 200k!

@Cristo Rei I don't think anything has been done about housing affordability in Australia during my 24 years of living so far. Lol

It makes it almost impossible for your generation. Our politicians have long forgotten about the people
Both husband and wife need to make decent money and work their whole lives to pay off a house.
