Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so a 1000 yr reign on this earth is false

Scripture points to a literal, future event at the Mount of Olives involving the physical return of Jesus, not a past or purely spiritual fulfillment. The Mount of Olives prophecy is yet to be fulfilled when Christ comes again “in like manner” as He ascended. Any claim that the second advent or the splitting of the mount has happened spiritually and not physically contradicts clear, repeated biblical statements.

If there are clear biblical Scriptures that prove what you allege, post them! Prove from the Word of God what you allege! The prophets spoke of the coming of the LORD in a day (age/time) when all that is written of Him is fulfilled. They make no mention of the Lord Jesus Christ returning to THIS earth to set up an earthly physical Kingdom of God HERE for one thousand years!

Like you the Pharisees of Old were also looking for the promised Messiah to physically come to Israel to establish the Kingdom of God there. For that reason, they could not believe the coming of Christ Jesus our Lord ushered in THE SPIRITUAL Kingdom of God that is not then, now and never will be physically upon THIS EARTH!

If we remain locked in physical fulfillment for the spiritual Kingdom of God, it's because we have not seen (known/experienced) nor have we entered the true Kingdom of God that is NOT of this world but is WITHIN whosoever is truly born again through Christ's Spirit in us. To know and enter the Kingdom of God "Ye must be born again"!

I did not bring this myself on this thread but someone else did however it is described below

The Coming Day of the Lord

Zec 14:1 Behold, a day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided in your presence.
Zec 14:2 For I will gather all the nations for battle against Jerusalem, and the city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city.
Zec 14:3 Then the LORD will go out to fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle.
Zec 14:4 On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half the mountain moving to the north and half to the south.
Zec 14:5 You will flee by My mountain valley, for it will extend to Azal. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with Him.
Zec 14:6 On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost.
Zec 14:7 It will be a day known only to the LORD, without day or night; but when evening comes, there will be light.
Zec 14:8 And on that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it toward the Eastern Sea and the other half toward the Western Sea, in summer and winter alike.
Zec 14:9 On that day the LORD will become King over all the earth—the LORD alone, and His name alone.
Zec 14:10 All the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem will be turned into a plain, but Jerusalem will be raised up and will remain in her place, from the Benjamin Gate to the site of the First Gate to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses.
Zec 14:11 People will live there, and never again will there be an utter destruction. So Jerusalem will dwell securely.

In verse one the prophet gives reference to the time/age/day he speaks of, calling it a day the LORD is coming! All of the prophets of Old speak of the same period of time when the promised Messiah would come, calling it the day of the LORD. So, all that is written of Old regarding this "Day of the LORD" the prophets foretell would come to pass must come to pass within that day/age/time, even to the very end of the age. Where in the writings of the prophets of Old can we find this period of one thousand years of time when you appear to believe this prophesy from Zechariah shall be physically fulfilled?

Is it your belief that when Christ comes again, He will usher in a period of one thousand years of peace on THIS earth? I ask because in your chronology you quote Matthew: "He also said there would be good seed and weeds together until the harvest at “the end of the age,” when angels separate the wicked from the just (Matthew 13:24–30, 36–43)."

How can there be both good seed and weeds growing together in the Kingdom of God if it is a spiritual, not earthly Kingdom?

The Bible gives us the answer. That is "Ye must be born again"! How can a man/woman be born again of Christ's Spirit without having physical life in the flesh & blood? It is in this life, in these physical mortal bodies of death that the spirit within man is born again from above. Because man/woman of faith possess both a natural, human spirit (physical life), but also the Spirit of Christ within giving us spiritual supernatural life through Christ. The flesh, represented by the weeds growing together with the good seed, will be separated from that part of us that has been justified by Christ before we physically die. It is in physical life that all who are of faith (good seed) grow together with weeds (mortal flesh & blood) until the harvest at the end of the age. This is how the good seed (spirit possessing eternal life), grows together with weeds (mortal flesh & blood destined to death) grow together until the end of the age when the wicked nature will be separated from the just (supernatural spirit) at the end of the age, when the last/seventh trumpet sounds and time shall be no longer.

The enemy of Christ, "that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan" (remember the garden) through deception brought both sin and death through sin to all flesh and blood. But flesh and blood shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. For this reason, mortal flesh and blood must be consumed in the fire that comes from heaven, and the mortal bodies of all who are of faith shall be raised up with Christ in immortal & incorruptible body of flesh, fit to live with Christ forever on the new earth that shall be after the first earth has passed away.

Why do you think Paul longed to be delivered from his body of death? The mortal body is held captive by the law of sin and death, but the inward man that Paul knew he possessed eternally can sin no longer and therefore has been set free from death.

Romans 7:22-25 (KJV) For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

"Before Jesus returns, He said there will be a unique time of “great tribulation” unlike anything before or after (Matthew 24:21–22; Mark 13:19–20). He pointed us to “the abomination of desolation” spoken by Daniel as a key sign (Matthew 24:15; cf. Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11)."

When Christ spoke of "great tribulation" He says, "I have told YOU before." If great tribulation Christ warned would not come even to those first century disciples, why does He include them (YOU)?

Matthew 24:21-25 (KJV) For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.

What time was Christ speaking of when He warns of great tribulation like none other that would come upon the earth? As long as the gospel of the Kingdom is preached, beginning with these first century Jewish disciples to the end of the world there will be "great tribulation" directed toward all who proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God unto all the world for a witness unto all the earth.

Matthew 24:14 (KJV) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The 'end' really means the end of this world, as that is the context of 'end'.
They get caught on the word age, as in 'end of the age' and they think it is a new age to come for this world, not a 'new earth'.
The KJV translates age as world.
Translating as 'age' never bothered me as I always knew it meant 'world'

Honest as in honestly looked at what God says versus their own indoctrination in the dispensational cult.
Dispensationalists are not cultists, and dispensationalism is not a cult. It's an honest take on Scripture, it's just terribly wrong. They just understand much of Scripture very wrongly. 'Wrong' and 'dishonest' are two very different things.

Grace and peace to you, Scott.

The prophets often spoke of the Day of the LORD as the time when God Himself would come to judge the wicked, deliver His people, and establish His reign. Isaiah said, “Behold, the day of the LORD comes, cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate” (Isaiah 13:9). Joel declared, “The day of the LORD is coming, for it is at hand, a day of darkness and gloominess” (Joel 2:1–2), but he also said that afterward the Spirit would be poured out and salvation offered to all who call on the name of the LORD (Joel 2:28–32). Zephaniah called it “the great day of the LORD” that is near and hastens quickly, a day of wrath, trouble, and distress (Zephaniah 1:14–15). From their view, this was one great climactic time when the LORD would act.

Jesus Himself spoke of this same day. He said His coming would be “as the days of Noah” and “as the days of Lot,” sudden destruction upon the wicked but rescue for the righteous (Luke 17:26–30). He tied it directly to the cosmic signs: “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven… then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven… and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:29–30). This is the same day Joel foresaw when he said, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD” (Joel 2:31).

When Jesus returns, He will gather His elect with angels and a great trumpet (Matthew 24:31). He will sit on the throne of His glory and judge all nations (Matthew 25:31–32). Zechariah says His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, and the LORD will be King over all the earth (Zechariah 14:4, 9, 16). The prophets describe this reign of the Messiah as a time of peace and justice: “They shall beat their swords into plowshares… nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore” (Isaiah 2:4; Micah 4:3). “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb… for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea” (Isaiah 11:6–9). Jerusalem shall be filled with joy, and long life will be given (Isaiah 65:18–22). All nations will go up year by year to worship the King and keep the Feast of Tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16).

The prophets did not give a measure of this reign, but John was shown the length. He saw Satan bound so that he should deceive the nations no more for one thousand years, and he saw those who had been faithful to Jesus live and reign with Christ for that period, which he calls the first resurrection (Revelation 20:1–6). Thus the reign the prophets described is the same age John reveals to be a thousand years long.

Peter gives us further understanding of how this “day” is to be understood. When speaking of the coming of the Day of the LORD, he warns against scoffers who doubt the promise, and he says, “With the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” (2 Peter 3:8). He does not mean numbers have no value, but that what men call a day can stretch far longer in the purposes of God. So the prophets, when they spoke of the Day of the LORD, were right to call it one day, though in God’s unfolding it stretches across the thousand-year reign of Christ before the final renewal.

At the end of this reign Satan is released for a short time, deceives the nations, and gathers them for battle against the beloved city, but fire comes down from God and devours them, and the devil is cast into the lake of fire forever (Revelation 20:7–10). After this comes the great white throne judgment when the dead, small and great, stand before God, and anyone not found in the Book of Life is cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11–15). Then John saw a new heaven and a new earth, and the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God. A loud voice declared, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them” (Revelation 21:3). In that eternal kingdom there is no more death, sorrow, or pain, and His servants shall serve Him and reign forever and ever (Revelation 21:4; 22:3–5). Isaiah had also said, “For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before Me, so shall your descendants and your name remain” (Isaiah 66:22).

So the Scriptures show that the Day of the LORD is not only a single moment, but the whole age beginning with the visible return of Jesus, continuing through His reign of a thousand years, and reaching to the final judgment and the new creation. The prophets described the reign itself, John revealed the thousand-year length, and Peter helps us see how in God’s eyes that entire age is rightly called “a day.”

When Jesus said, “I have told you before” (Matthew 24:25), He was warning His disciples in person, but His words were not limited to their generation. He was speaking to them as the first hearers, but also through them to all who would follow Him until the end. Jesus often spoke this way—He told the disciples, “And you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake” (Matthew 24:9), yet this clearly continues for all believers across time.

The “great tribulation” He described is a unique future time that will be worse than anything before or after (Matthew 24:21–22; Mark 13:19). He gave His disciples the signs so that both they and all believers afterward would be ready, just as He said, “What I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:37).

So when He said “you”, He included His disciples present, but He also meant all who would carry their same mission of preaching the gospel of the kingdom until the end of the age (Matthew 24:14).

Duality in prophecy is important here also, because many prophecies in Scripture have an immediate fulfillment and a future, greater fulfillment. That explains why Jesus could say “you” to His disciples, since some things (like persecution, false christs, and Jerusalem’s fall in AD 70) did touch their own time, while the full “great tribulation” is still ahead.

For example:
  • Joel 2 was partly fulfilled at Pentecost when the Spirit was poured out (Acts 2:16–21), but Peter also pointed to its ultimate fulfillment “before the great and awesome day of the LORD” (Joel 2:31).
  • Daniel’s “abomination of desolation” happened in part under Antiochus Epiphanes (Daniel 11:31), but Jesus said it was still future in His day (Matthew 24:15), and Revelation shows it will climax again at the end.
So prophecy often carries this layered meaning. Jesus’ warning of tribulation applied both to His disciples’ generation (persecution, AD 70, deceivers) and to the final, ultimate “great tribulation” that will come before His return (Matthew 24:21–30).

The prophets often spoke of the Day of the LORD as the time when God Himself would come to judge the wicked, deliver His people, and establish His reign.

You do not believe that God Himself through the Gospel and power of His Spirit is now judging the wicked and delivering His people into the spiritual Kingdom of God that Christ came to earth with? Are you still waiting to be delivered or through the Spirit of Christ in you, have you been delivered?

2 Corinthians 2:15-17 (KJV) For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

“The day of the LORD is coming, for it is at hand, a day of darkness and gloominess” (Joel 2:1–2), but he also said that afterward the Spirit would be poured out and salvation offered to all who call on the name of the LORD (Joel 2:28–32). Zephaniah called it “the great day of the LORD” that is near and hastens quickly, a day of wrath, trouble, and distress (Zephaniah 1:14–15). From their view, this was one great climactic time when the LORD would act.

Why do you believe the prophets were NOT writing of what would come to pass within this time they write "the day of the LORD"? According to the Scriptures we have been living in last/latter days since the advent of Christ coming to earth a man. The prophesies of Old write not only of the day/age/time the LORD would come, they also write of the things that shall come to pass during this "last days" ushered in through Him.

Ac 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Jas 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
2Pe 3:3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

You're trying to force another one thousand years of time for this earth after the last days of this day of the LORD which shall end with a final or "last day" of the last days written in the NT. After the last day of these last days shall not usher in another one thousand years! Rather it shall usher in the eternal age on the new earth to come.

Grace and peace to you, Scott.
I don't think most of them are dishonest. Same as any cult member though, most are not dishonest, they believe what their cult leader says.

And they can be dangerous to your welfare, money, health, safety, spiritual life.

Found this. Earlier was reading another, if I find again, will update post

Do you find it interesting that the apostles and Christ never referred to those words of Zechariah although they did use other select OT books in NT scriptures. Since all scripture is God breathed, God had no use for pointing out those things in the New Testament writings.
Meaning to me the relevance is not meaningful to us.
This guy is gonna eat your lunch . JESUS DID speak about things in ZECHARIAH .
BIG TIME TOO .
Smite the shepard and the sheep shall be scattered . THAT WAS RECOREDED IN ZECHARIAH
as are many other things THAT did point to CHRIST .
I tried to tell us that i , by grace DO read my bible . have done so for over nineteen years
daily for hours . That i say NOT to boast in me
BUT to simply get us back INTO that bible . I am telling you THAT JESUS DID speak of things in ZECHARIAH
ITS ALL for our good .

None of that was referenced in the NT.

let me go read it again and be refreshed .
Quote from the writer,

A premillennial interpretation of Zechariah’s last chapter, especially that demanded by dispensational literalism, is clearly untenable when seen through the lens of the New Testament.

For these reasons, an interpretation is needed which does not posit an intermediate messianic reign including renewed Judaism and the lingering effects of Adam’s fall.

Its even mentioned in revelation .
The thing is , I THINK many mess this up . They keep thinking on the natural .
NOT the heavenly . WHEN JESUS returns
TWO THINGS i KNOW OCCUR . HE WILL LAY DOWN the WRATH OF GOD against any and all jews and gentiles
WHO DID deny HIM . And we who are still alive as well as the others shall forever be WITH HIM .
I know its a mystery and i know folks can mess that up . BUT many SEEM TO THINK
something I KNOW that is not true .
THEY TRY and act like as THE COMING OF JESUS somehow folks , or at least the jews GET SOME kind of second
chance .
BUT OH NO SIR THEY DONT . AT HIS COMING , ALL who denied HIM WILL SURELY and SORELY WAIL .
AND THAT I DO KNOW to be a fact . THERE AINT SOME kind of pre trib anything .
ITS A ONE TIME EVENT . THAT I DO KNOW .

Look a post 1555

And it is not directly referenced by the New Testament writers, who did often quote from the OT scripture, which was my particular point.

Have you notice a HUGE UPTICK of a delusion upon this last generation .
I am seeing a romans one level reprobation upon this world , upon much of even christendom .
its as if SOMETHING has been unleashed . Something meant to gather the decieved AS ONE
to be as ONE against the true sheep . something has been unleashed big time
like a massive strong delusion . And it is as if this world , chrisetendom and the false religoins
are all merging more and more TO BE AS ONE under this DELUSION .
Something got unleashed BIG TIME upon this generation . And it is A DELUSION
and it is as if satan himself is bringing all tribes , religoins , denominations and peoples
TO BE AS ONE . RIGHT TO THE DAY OF AREMEGEDDON
wherein they will rise as one against the peoples of GOD who are not and did not conform .
ONLY GOD IS GONNA END THEM ALL . I have never seen such a delusion as the one i am now seeing .
IT KNOWS how to talk to muslims , buddists , the denomaintions , THE WHORE LEADS IT
ITS MERGING THEM as ONE MIND , ONE PEOPLE under what they all SEE AS THE ONE TRUE GOD
but ITS THE DEVIL . ITS THE DEVIL scott . SOMETHING has been unleashed upon THIS GENERATION BIG TIME .

Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Do not presume to know what I think or believe, you do not. Your problem is a lack of discernment and relying too much on Paul and not enough on the words on Christ. What I have written is ALL based on scripture and nothing else and always is.

We were warned by Christ and His apostles, the last of the last days would be rough, a time of huge spiritual deceptions and delusions.
