Irrespective of how many millions of Christians we have in America, I wonder if America is starting to be judged by God now. The more I look around this great nation, the more I see a nation that looks fitting of the same fate of Sodom and Gomorrah. I see a nation that is #1 exported of porn to the world. No one proliferates military weapons technology like this country and the military and industrial complex. Our nation directly supports some terror groups in the Middle East, the most prominent being Hamas and what once was known as the PLO (I refuse to use its current name). We're making homosexuality perfectly acceptable in this nation. Many churches in America today aren't even preaching the gospel or the need to turn from sin. We have a government leadership that's radically changing this country's relationship with Israel for the worst. But this hostility started with the two previous administrations that forced the Oslo Accord agreement and the Gaza withdrawal. Our nation continues the wholesale slaughter of unborn children to the tune of 50 million since Roe vs. Wade. The family in this country is disintegrating. There are unprecedented levels of divorce and Christian rates are virtually identical to those of the secular world. Violence is rampant and in general from top to bottom this country not only appears to be morally decayed, but also on the verge of collapse. Why should God spare America from judgment? It seems our nation has a form of godliness but denies the power thereof. Maybe we are watching the beginning stages of this final judgment with this devastating economic collapse that is unlike anything that this country went through during the Great Depression. All opinions welcomed. Please discuss.

Here, i'll say it for you ... VOLDEMORT ... ooooh, scary!

Seriously, this confused me as I knew of no name change ... wiki speaks as if the PLO is going on the same as it always had.

These days its repeatedly referred to as the Palestinian Authority. Not a big deal to many, but since Arafat died, they've consistently stuck to the PA designation despite not formally changing its name from the PLO. Its a subtle marketing ploy by the language engineers.

I must say that I'm incredibly disappointed that no one on this site is willing to tackle such a provocative topic like this, given the current state of affairs in America and the Christian community.

Robster, I must and have for along time been on the same page as you. We know what the Lord did to Isreal when it turned to other gods and if I may so other altars. Isreal was taken into captivity and then divided, until 1945. If the Lord did as He did to Isreal what on earth would make Americans He would let us slide. God really blessed this nation in so many ways, and America has been shaking its' fist in His Face. Letting everything out of the closet except Jesus Christ. Then the Lord did tells us that the days before the Great Day of the Lord would be as the days of Noah, days when evil will be seen as good and good seen as evil. Well I guess we do not have to look too far to see that Prophecy come to happen. It will be truly a sad day when the USA causes Jerusalem to be divided, as this seems to be encourarged even as we speak. Lots of favor seemingly toward Isalm's desire as a whole. May the Lord guide those in office to seek the Will of God. Love you in Jesus Name.

pastorlesofm I really enjoyed reading your response. Thank you for posting your thoughts. In these troubling times, where the earth's attention seems to be directed at the Middle East conflict...I tremble with the following scripture:
"And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it" (Zechariah 12:3)

There was a person named Cliff Hubert or something like that. He gave the same message. America is gonna git it.

This was Awhile back. I Refuse to put my mouth on a Country I am paying and Praying for, so I can't agree with your post. However this topic has already been discussed if your wondering why so little responses.

And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2C 5:18-19

All things are of God, hmmm... Hard to swallow that one. Couldn't possibly include the mess your describing, could it? Can't believe the Scriptures on this one, or should I, all things being from God that is...

And what's this about not imputing their trespasses (really offenses in the Greek) and reconciling the world to Himself. That's gotta be conditional. I mean, if I was the judge and jury, I'd hang 'em all for falling short and start all over, then I wouldn't have had to give up my Beloved for them. The world can't possibly include everyone, can it? I'm having a hard time with this one too. That's two in a row that I'm suppose to embrace as truth, even though my peanut brain can't get around it.

God is Judging NOBODY!!! until the Appointed time. Then all are Judged.

Joh 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

The Government office is set up by God!!!! God set it up, and if any man in those offices do not the will of God, they have a judge, on the last day. God is not going to Slam America, or any other country.

That is why it's not best to respond to these type of threads, the People that post them are still young in the Word, and have not put together enough scripture, but walk by what they see, and not what God said.

Brother Mike, I've personally have come to believe that America's final and complete judgment will start with the negative effects of the "rapture", there's that pesky word again. And will reach its end suffering some kind of repercussions from the Magog Invasion. I think its quite possible that ICBMs find their way here. That's just my speculation on how the Magog war impacts America.

Just revieved this via e-mail thought it might give some insight to the topic at hand.

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'On this week's edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report": God promised Abraham that He would bless those who blessed him and his descendants, but that He would curse those who cursed him. God also promised Abraham that through him and his seed, all families of the earth would be blessed.

History seems to confirm this. Those people, nations, empires, and kingdoms who blessed and protected the Jews enjoyed the blessings of God. When they turned their backs on God's people, their national fortunes faded. Why should we think America is not subject to the same blessings and curses?

The Obama administration has been quietly assuring European and Arab leaders that if the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks are still stalled in November, the President will personally convene an international peace conference to impose a solution on the region.

The latest target of the Obama Reformation League is Wall Street and the nation's bankers. But are the banks that were "too big to fail" a couple of years ago "too big to regulate" now?

Every industry and every special interest group has a lobbyist now. The Antichrist is no different. In fact, one of his chief lobbyists recently spoke to the Council on Foreign Relations.

Think "The Tribulation" is years away? I'm thinking now that the conditions are ripe for the Tribulation to plausibly begin in days or weeks, not months or years. And if the Tribulation could be that close, how near does that make the Rapture? Are you ready?

Don't miss this week's 'Report' on TBN, Daystar, CPM Network, Inspiration, various local stations, www.hallindsey.com or www.hischannel.co m. Check your local listings.

God Bless,

Hal Lindsay

Here's one of my favorite scriptures.
For God has imprisoned all people in their own disobedience so He could have mercy on everyone. Oh, what a wonderful God we have! How great are His riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand His decisions and his methods! For who can know what the Lord is thinking? Who knows enough to be His counselor? And who could ever give Him so much that he would have to pay it back? For everything comes from Him; everything exists by His power and is intended for his glory. To Him be glory evermore. Amen. Romans 11:32-36 NLT

I've been a huge fan of Hal Lindsey for years and enjoy watching his weekly commentary on Sunday nights. Since I came to know the Lord, I too have always taken Genesis 12:3 very seriously.

I would be more than happy to discuss anything in your article that was not true , or I did not agree with. However I have found nothing to disagree with.

What bothers me most I do not have a remedy to suggest (for America) other than maybe a mass revival and some huge changes in values but I think that would require some supernatural intervention.

I still have great confidence in the character of the majority of America's population , you just have to turn off the politics and news and look around. The core is still pretty solid.

Now these three remain FAITH , HOPE and LOVE

I still have HOPE . I hope it is not a false hope.

Good article Robster. Thanks.

We are entering a time where God will arise and have favor on Zion. I guarantee it. That is all I can say at this moment.

It is hoped that the details will be made public soon. You will sit bolt upright in your chair. (The news is good) (For Zion and those who love her)
