Sometimes I think people believe that those who Trust in God live in some kind of bubble.
Jesus told his disciples to cast out devils among healing and spreading the gospel.
So it amazes me when you are doing the casting out, some say, wait, you're supposed to love your enemies?
You can't have it both ways.
You either cast them out, or take them in.
We see that taking them in don't work out too good.
Maybe we should stick to what Jesus told us to do and not what we think is best.
And without God leading people to do what is right, we wouldn't be here.
We can't allow murderers and thieves and fraudsters and gangsters to go unpunished.
In the days of Acts the new Way didn't have it's own means to govern themselves in the world.
They were ruled over by people that did or didn't believe in God.
In America we are free to choose who we put in authority to go after the bad guys.
Just like the church was supposed to choose their own leaders.
1Ti 3:1
This
is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
And then comes a list of qualifications.
Who goes over the applications? Who chooses?
1Ti 3:4
One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
1Ti 3:5
(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
So first they have to know how to Govern their own House.
Well, our House is America, the children are the citizens of America.
And we have laws which we subject ourselves to.
Not whimsical frivolous laws but ones that have teeth if you break them. That's gravity.
That is the Civic Law. And this Civic Law should protect those who are also the people in the church.
If the outside is tormenting, it is difficult to find peace on the inside. Because the outside always finds a way of infiltrating it's way in.
We don't have to live in a world of tormentors, if those who watch over us also want peace on the outside.
When Jesus was talking to the overseers of the Jews.
He told them:
Mat 23:26
Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that
which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
When you have good people, that care about law and order and justice and peace on the inside, then that also will overflow to the outside.
And for a long time we have had people that are crooked and self serving and lawless running this country.
Not for the people but for themselves. And not for this country but for anyone who would pay them enough.
"You can go in Joe's house and steal his bread and I will look the other way as long as you make it worth my while"
And a lot of our House got sold out from under us without us even knowing.
And we're taking back.
And there are a lot of good people, with good hearts, that want order that want law that want justice and peace.
And these are the "bishops" if you will, that we the people have elected to watch over the children, the citizens, the church.
And if they mess up we get to remove them and elect someone else that will do the job right.
That is America.
Do we sometimes elect the wrong people? yes we do. But that's why we set up a government that allows the governed to choose who governs them.
Just like the church got to choose their own bishops.
America gets to choose who they want to represent us, to protect us, and to judge with right judgment.
Legislate, Execute, and Judicate.
And we're getting it back on track.
Some people might not like the personality or the way things are gone about by certain people that are elected.
But they're not there for you to like them, they are there to do a good work.
Keep the House clean. And protect us from bad people breaking in. And Judge with righteous judgement.
Right now we are in a transition phase going from lawlessness to lawful.
It's not easy. And it takes time to find the right people for the right job.
But the course is set and we're on our way to a good start.
You are either with us or against us.
You either love America or Hate America.
And in this America, Hate is not welcome here anymore.
Hugs
