Brought back some good memories, and sad ones.

Keith was a unique artist.
He used Music to not just spread the Gospel, and give Jesus praise, ... but he used it to put pressure on "dead faith" do nothing believers to try to get them up and running before they meet Jesus having done nothing for Him.

He is a "type" that you dont see much in Contemporary Christian Music, as so much of Contemporary Christian music tends to write "bumper sticker" lyrics .
Very little of it is heart felt, while most of it tries to sound spiritual.
A lot of Christians are like that...... they have no real fire for God, but they do know how to "sound spiritual".

As far as i can tell, a similar to Keith, and another who would put the heat on you with his songs also died young.
Apparently the Devil puts His Bullseye on these types, to stop their influence.
Some of you might remember this amazing artist.... who was a similar type.....very similar to Keith Green.

Here he is., and His Album "Winds of Heaven, Stuff of Earth" could be considered to be the very best Contemporary Christian Album, ever created.

..... Just as i was getting into the Ministry years ago , God First sent me to a Contemporary Christian Radio Station.
While i was there this special Keith Green song was always in rotation and it's clarion call message always struck a chord in my heart.

keith green did much to try and bring the churches back to the true faith .
Today he would be run out as a hater and judgmental one .
But he did much good for the church .
Yep, he was one of the good guys. Have you seen the Web site that Melody has been administering? Saw it several years ago, really interesting. Not sure how to get back to it.

no i have never seen that website .
But this i do know , its time for the true believers to stand against the tides of this ecumenical inclusive god
and preach the true gospel and all things JESUS and the apostels taught . Many are not gonna make it brakelite .
That entity is taking over a lot of mindsets now . And soon our persecutions will increase .

I watched a doco on Keith Green recently. I was into his music when first saved in the 80s. Along with Larry Norman and Phil Keaggy and amy Grant.

I did not realise that he was a child star so to speak. Was very musical at a young age with obvious talent. Could have went into secular music and had success. But also how he created a open house and allowed anyone to stay. Which then became an official home or ranch which helped others.

I think this may have been the time the Jesus movement was underway where it was cool to have long hair and play rock for God. A new generation of Christians response to the strict traditions of the church. Relating Christianity to the times. And Keith did it well.

I like his sone "Love broke through". A song from the heart from experience and relatable to young people at the time. That is what destinguished Green as compared to Norman. Green sang from the heart about life and struggles with God. Phil Keaggy covered his song as well and in fact named his album after the song.

Its a pity we lost him as I think he had much more music in him to share. But also his zeal to help people and relate the gospel.
