Clearly you are the exception, correct?IS THERE ANY SCHOLAR GREATER THAN GOD'S
SPIRIT ?
WHAT FOOLISHNESS PLAGUES THE MINDS OF MEN.
Your comment -- " I don’t need a scholar to show me what I can read for myself." -- says it all. Believe your own mind, not scholarship! Very sound principle -- not!
Just accepting what the scholars say without question is a better way to go? You’ll soon find they don’t agree with each otherClearly you are the exception, correct?
No excuses. Question asked. Question answered.Sad and sorry excuse.
God will judge all we say, do, not do, or think for his records are perfect !
In your expert opinion what is the most accurate rendition of the Bible?Am artistic rendition should not be the criterion for choosing the best translation. An accurate translation should be the most important factor. Period.
If I give someone a Bible, I would want them to have the most accurate rendition of the Bible. Don't confuse beautiful prose with accuracy!
OK. I thought your point was about the immediate, not future state. The voice also saysThe Voice does say she will have a miscarriage. Bible Gateway passage: Numbers 5:11-31 - The Voice
You’re avoiding that it says it will cause a miscarriage. You said the Voice didn’t even indicate pregnancy.OK. I thought your point was about the immediate, not future state. The voice also says
This judgment ritual is a mixture of dust or ash and water to bring objectivity to the accusation of adultery on a wife. The result is either clearing her name or confirming the claim against her. The administration is reserved for the priest, and the results are final.
So, it is not about causing a miscarriage, not about dealing with a current pregnancy. Hence, the curse of the future. And you think this liberty is wrong, being grounded in KJV because ...?
Clearly you are the exception, correct?
I do not use any excuse nor do I keep folks from Christ. No excuses. Question asked. Question answered.
KJV-only folks cannot see the IDOL they have created. This is demonstrated by the question,
what is more important to you:
A. Force as many people as possible to read your preferred translation?
B. Bring people to Christ?
That KJV folks don't answer the question tells the story. What is your sad and sorry excuse for keeping people from Christ?
I really don’t care who you believe.Yeah, what do scholars who have devoted their careers to Bible translation know? The "plain reading " is in your mind only. Guess whom I believe, you or qualified scholars?
Giving someone something orally that causes a miscarriage is an abortionWhat??? Totally irrelevant!
I did not avoid it but asked what is wrong with it saying that? You’re avoiding that it says it will cause a miscarriage.
If you are KJV-only, you are keeping people from Christ. Evidence is, again, your refusal to answer my A or B question.I do not use any excuse nor do I keep folks from Christ.
You obviously believe only what you believe and reject sound scholarship, That's an excellent example of a closed mind!I really don’t care who you believe.
Then why do you reject the KJV and why don’t the scholars agree with each other,Scholars gave us every translation, including the KJV. I mean, really!
I don’t know as much as scholars but I know when. something is missingYou obviously believe only what you believe and reject sound scholarship, That's an excellent example of a closed mind!
Again, what do scholars who have devoted their careers to Bible translation know? Certainly less than you, correct? The "plain reading " is in your mind only. Guess whom I believe, you or qualified scholars?
I've always thought there were NO stupid questions but you've proved that wrong !I don’t know as much as scholars but I know when. something is missing
