“For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel” (1 Corinthians 1:17)

How in the world do you extract “baptism is not part of salvation” from this scripture?!

The messiah was named by the angel in Matt 1, "Iesous".

We say Jesus because it sounds like Iesous.

We don't say Yeshua because it sounds like a Chinese skateboard or Chinese sneezing .

How is your bigotry going? Jesus was a Jew and "Yeshua" was His name. He was not Greek or English.

The clear English in the verse doesn’t say anything about baptism being excluded from the salvation process.

And taking the scriptures as a whole it is obvious that baptism is a component of the gospel.

Lets try again

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 1.17 that he is called NOT to baptize anyone but to PREACH the Gospel. It is very obvious that the Gospel of salvation CANNOT include baptism.

What of this can you not understand

None of the verses are valid because IF as you and those who believe in water baptism as part of salvation, then you have to explain why Paul was pleased that he himself baptised a few and said that He was called not to baptise but to preach the Gospel. It is very clear from what Paul says that water baptism is NOT for salvation

This is what the Bible actually says. Not the nonsense that some teach

The so-called "thief on the cross" wasn't baptized, yet Jesus said "today you will be with me in paradise". Baptism -- immersion in water -- has nothing to do with salvation. It is a symbolic act of dying to the sinful nature and arising to the new, saved life.

Romans 6:4-5, "Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life. For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united in the likeness of his resurrection."

Back on topic - (IF you wish the answer to the "water Confusion,"
please visit here: "Main Divider" of christendom Poll and here:
13 Bible baptisms) - op: KJV Is The Pure Word Of God?

Yes, IF "God Preserved/Kept It (and It's underlying manuscripts)
Pure for All generations!" Of course, IF He "lied and didn't," then,
you may believe whatever you want, ok?

And, if "KJVO's are today's pharisees," (as proposed by some)
then should we (KJVO's) be so UNkind/mean to say to NIVO proponents
"the same"? Or, should we just love them, and pray for them???

GRACE And Peace...

Ephesians 4:4-6 LITV
4) There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling;
5) one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6) one God and Father of all, the One above all and through all and in you all.

One baptism . . . that must be it!

Romans 6:3 LITV
Or are you ignorant that all who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

Much love!

His name was iesous, actually.

There is no such thing as a Hebrew NT autograph from the first century.

The Jews in those days all spoke Greek as the dominant language.

Not all but most. You should know better. You don't. You're just repeating nonsense you didn't verify yourself.

Joh_19:20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

You do realize there were Jews in the Greek dominated area, right?

Just like hispanics are in our country.

They and their kids have to assimilate fast or get lost in the weeds.

It is silly to think the Jews per over 400 years of domination by the Grecko/Roman empire would hide from their masters' language.

You know why Jesus came "in the fullness of time"?

Because God did not want the gospel preached and NT written in the obscure Hebrew language, but a language for the masses.

Simple as that.
