A British cup a is a 'cup of' coffee or tea. Tea is also 'Rosie Lee' in Cockney rhyming slang. And stairs are 'apples and pears' boots are 'daisy roots'. My maternal grandad was a Cockney which is a person born in a particular area of London so I heard quite lot of it from my mum when I was growing up.

We have always used ‘ Chips ‘ but we also call chips ‘ fries ‘ since the fast food chains came over here.
I thought our crisps were your potato chips !?

That's Kopa lol Anyways, I figured that this could be a good point to make for the ladies topic since has anybody here seen and a fan of Doctor Who? I think I underestimated the Thirteenth Doctor because I actually really wound up liking her a lot. She has seemed to develop a lot of the mannerisms of the Tenth Doctor and purposely too.

Well the current one isn't a he it's a she and that's the whole entire reason that I brought it up in the first place. Doctor Who is an alien time lord (or in this case lady) that travels through time in a phone booth (TARDIS) and regenerates into different people. :) This is pretty funny. (Btw the thing he uses at the end is a sonic screwdriver and Billie Piper played his love interest Rose Tyler. :) )
