Winter was so much more fun in South Florida.

Rain coming in tomorrow night and will last for a few days. It's supposed to be heavy rain.

It's chilly now. It gets dark early and my little basil plant has withered on the patio.

The rain did come today but it isn't too heavy. But tomorrow it's supposed to be quite heavy.

The burn areas from the wildfires are preparing for possible mudslides.

I must admit, I have a bit of winter blues. Im glad I can look at this thread and try to feel better.

I would like to make hot cocoa and chocolate chip cookies from scratch. I want to try making cheesecake, carrot cake, and those thumbprint chocolate Hershey cookies.

I did manage to make the chocolate chip cookies from scratch and the cheesecake. Now my husband and I have gone carnivore again so there's a pause on regular baking.

No snow here in Los Angeles but I love Winter scenery. Maybe because of growing up in Pennsylvania.

I've decided not to complain all winter but to do my best to enjoy it this year.

I'm making a winter bucket list, looking up winter themed books and movies, and just getting excited about the season.

For anyone who wants to complain about winter . Come dwell in the deserts of west texas
during the summer and its ravaging heat . THEY gonna run BACK to the cooler states . lol .

ITS BEST we dont whine and complain about this . Let us just focus on the LORD and be thankful to HIM
I mean as harsh as the summer heat can be down here
YOU gots to know its a whole lot hot ter in the hot place . AND PRAISE GOD , JESUS sav ed US FROM death
and the very wages of death we had earned for ourselves . SO lets be thankful to GOD
and let us learn to be content .

have you ever heard of big run , dubois and punxsutawney . i lived and worked in those places
years ago . back long ago in the years of two thousand and t hree to four .
It snowed a lot that year too . big ol fat snows . i always enjoyed watching it flow down .
IT got so heavy , one could not see fifteen feet in front of them , or maybe less .
I can see how one can easily get lost in a blizzard , or white out . But it was a l ovely site .

I've heard of Punxsutawny because of the famous groundhog Phil...if he sees his shadow there's six weeks more Winter!



I hope the huge crowds don't scare Phil.

Or come and dwell on a small island in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, where the ground you stand on sinks lower and lower into the pits of the Earth, due to the weight of the heavy, continuous, never ending rain. Even Jack Russells don’t want to go out in this.

A far better place awaits the lambs.
