1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. So much for being discerned by understanding the natural first, I guess ;) What I am saying is this; light exposes deeds that are done in the darkness, the deeds of darkness. When Christ comes he shines a light, and exposes what we do in darkness, thus the children of darkness hate him, because their deeds are evil.

Yes, guess it was!

One must be able to understand and comprehend the "natural man" who is void of understanding (light) else the light would expose what?

The natural must be identified because we all started in the natural...it comes first! Jer 4:23 As with the earth so with you Prentis & Aj!

If one cannot grasp the lessons found in the natural creation they will never understand God or His purpose with the earth.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made (natural), even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Rom 1:20

And who made darkness? Isa 45:7KJV Isa 45:7NIV Isa 45:7ESV Isa 45:7RSV

Of course the angels are those who do His work "Are they (the angels of God) not all ministering spirits sent forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation?" (Heb 1:14).

Love truth.

So what are you saying? I think I don't get the point you're making. :)

Of course, the natural shouts of his glory. But it is not by natural means that man grasps the super natural. The natural reflects the things of God, so yes it is good to study it. Only I think we all know what light and darkness is, hence why I cut to the chase and talked about what they are spiritually.

Hence, I still dont get what point you're making.

May God bless you

"And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness"

The benefit of light as contrasted with darkness is suggested by this statement. It certainly is true as regards to Truth, for everything that is good and noble springs from light John 3:19,20,21 as Aj illuminated. In the same way as light was necessary to bring order out of chaos in physical creation, so it is the first step necessary in the formation of Yahweh's spiritual creation.

The light of divine truth must first enter the heart of an individual if he is to be moulded according to the divine requirements (2 Cor 4:6); and, as in the beginning, this is brought into existence by the Word of God. By such means a person passes from out of darkness into "his marvellous light" see 1 Peter 2:9.
