I agree, we can also learn a lot from animals.

I would imagine that Golden Orb spider would be vulnerable to predators ,while she climbs out of its skin.

Oh my word she eats them!!
We have Butcher Birds (like a raven) who will swoop in and take them from time to time. We also have Sunbirds, a small yellow and light brown finely structured bird. It builds a most interesting elongated nest with a little 'peak' just above the entrance. They often build their nests close to human habitation; under an eave or hanging from the rafter under a verandah. I think they feel safer there from Butcher Birds who will steal their young.

Have you ever been bitten?

What’s the most deadliest spider ,animal, etc, you need to steer well clear of?

Yes I've been bitten by the odd spider but I don't see it bite. I realise it after the fact so I don't know what type of spider it was.
I get around in the jungle barefooted and will pick up leaches on my body at times. I usually notice it after they've taken what they want and then drop off, leaving where they were attached bleeding quiet a lot for several minutes.

An Amethystine Python which are generally pretty docile if they are handled gently must of had a hard time with a relative and was pretty feisty when I picked him up (about 3 meters). He swung around and its mouth covered my whole hand. More of a shock than a danger.....the hand bled profusely.

I keep my distance from the crocodiles which I see from time to time in the water at the beach. They are really something to see. I will see the head of lets say a larger one, about a meter in length, then he'll bring the rest of his body up to the surface....it looks like the serrations of a dragon. It's riveting to say the least.

Do you guys ever get lonely?

I’m a very social person ,have to admit I get lonely at times, thank God I have this forum to interact with believers.

We all LOVE God, so we all have that in common...xxx
If i didn't come on here I would have nobody to interact with. Nobody from church comes to see me, my neighbours are okay but keep to themselves. My husband is so withdrawn these days that we don't chat anymore and it's that which makes me feel lonely. We used to sit for hours chatting about all sorts of things but not anymore. I've never minded solitude but there seems to be too much of it these days.

I wouldn’t last 5 seconds out there, I guess it’s all you’ve known, if you grew up there, there’s no place like home..I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else, on saying that I lived in Scotland for a few years...I’m very much rooted here now, where I was Born and raised.

It's a wild Torres Strait Island pigeon. He/she came to me one day at the beach and was quite happy to get a ride in the car back to my place. It would come and go.....and as you can see, was quiet friendly.
One day I was at the beach and some indigenous folk had a small camp. I saw lots of Torres Strait Island Pigeon feathers lying around. He/she must have been easy pickings.....I never saw him/her again after that.

Did the pigeon actually get into the car with you? Did you have to coax it in?

I'm sorry it appeared to get eaten by the indigenous people. Poor trusting birds and animals....

It sat on my arm and wouldn't leave. I was surprised it came into the car without complaint.....no coaxing needed

Sometimes I feel lonely. More often I feel antisocial. Other times I just talk to my husband and talk to others little.

There's a lot of social media and real life connections that Ive decided were not for me.

Crikey, you be careful, watch your footing, I never knew they were one of the most dangerous flightless birds in the world.

Thank God I live in the UK...we don’t have many dangerous animals...mind you ,we sometimes get dogs in packs, 4 Rottweilers were loose in my neighbourhood, thank God my little Jack Russel was indoors, for some reason I have a fear of these dogs...
I've never met a nice Rottweiler. They always look at small pets and babies/children as food. I absolute despise them and believe they should be outlawed. Or someone could breed better qualities into the breed. Something ...but every Rottweiler I've encountered was invading MY yard and chasing my kids or my kids' smaller dogs. Same with Pitbulls. Last time 2 Pitbulls to invaded my yard to attack my daughter's 5lb Pom-chih, my 125lb Great Pyrenees mix counterattacked them, then my 17yr old son picked them up by the skin of their backs and tossed them over the fence. The neighbors didn't like it much, but oh well. (My son was about 6ft tall and 190lbs. Now, he's 6ft 4ins and about 245lbs.)

I don't feel lonely much these days, except I would very much love to see my grown and their families children more. God has provided a few local friends more recently so that helps with loneliness.

My friend had a nice but not pretty Rottweiler called Maggi. She live in the next street to me and as soon as Maggi got to a certain place she knew she was coming here. She loved my husband. She was a very large sweetie. But then my friend Bette and her husband had be specialist Rottie trainers so just shows all they need is good training but unfortunately you don't have to pass a test to own a large and possibly dangerous dog. The nastiest dog I've ever known belongs to my next door neighbours and it's a little West Highland terror. it's a wonder it doesn't do itself an injury with all the vicious barking it does.

I tell you what, I had such an irrational fear of these 4 Rottweilers, that were let out of a neighbours friends car ,I assumed he let them out to relieve themselves.........that I phoned the police...the police woman said that they are no different to a yorkie dog, can you believe that.

Anyway last time this neighbours friend came he kept them in the car....these dogs are extremely powerful.

Another neighbour of mine across the road has a Rottweiler called bear, I’ve slowly lost my fear of him , Andy my neighbour introduced me to him, he is huge ...I will post a pic of bear at some point...xx

I don't feel lonely - I know the Lord is always with me. I get bored sometimes.
Thank you Bob.

I understand what you say ,as God is always with us in our spirit.

I guess I should’ve said....in my opening post, that I get lonely as in personal interaction, the social side so to speak....maybe I need to get out more, ....maybe get involved with a hobby, where we all meet, a bit like a knitting club....I did join one some years ago....maybe I need to go back to it.as I’m in a much better place in my head.

Yes, I think that’s my problem as well....I may start my knitting up again.

I need an interest outside of housework, gardening and cooking.
I am retired and do some volunteer work.

I had a long discussion yesterday with a person I have a lot of respect for. He emphasized that the most important thing in life is our service to others. I wonder if that is my problem - not enough service to others.
