Becoming an "overcomer" is positional,
I have heard people use this "positional" explanation before and still have no idea what they mean or what you mean here. Sorry!

as soon as someone is born again of His Holy Spirit.

1John 5[4] For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
[5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
See also Rom. 8:9

The "world" to be overcome is the one Jesus overcame. He did not overcome planet Earth nor did he overcome our little worlds of sinful ways. It became possible for us to do so, with first his sacrifice and then with the outpouring of the Holy Ghost as per Acts 2.

The things to be overcome are not sin. Jesus paid the price for sin, we must overcome things which continue to lead us to sin:
"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." I John 2:16
Again the "world" here is not planet Earth, but the little world of each one of us. Jesus overcame those in himself as an example for us, but we must overcome our own temptations, our own ways that lead us to sin as per that verse. If we do not... we cannot receive the rewards of overcomers. One is here:

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." Rev 2:7

Anyone who fails to eat of the Tree of Life is simply dead completely and finally.

Doug is making up things as he goes along!
Try to discern and digest this:
Gal. 5[4] Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
IOWs, the Blood of Christ, for the forgiveness of sins does not apply or work for those who seek to be justified by the Law.

Repent from your willful Law Keeping, for if you don't, you will die in your sins, because you will be found to be "lukewarm".

I stated;

"Justification unto eternal life did not come by the law however, faith in Christ did; however, obedience to the law was required to enter the kingdom, and receive positions of authority to reign with Christ; righteousness is required to enter the kingdom."

Salvation to enter the kingdom is for Israel only; it is a physical salvation; it is not addressing eternal life.
In our dispensation we are not under law, but grace.

What is man's greatest fear, that Jesus OVERCAME?
The answer is "death". That's all it is!!
however , the "religionists" (tares) want to hook up a wagon full of extra unnecessary junk, such as what you have mentioned! Why are you swallowing their slop?
.
Look at the simplicity of Rom. 8:9.
Either you are His or you are not! There is "no gray area" to squirm in!!
Either you NOW HAVE His Holy Spirit, or YOU DON'T!!
Or is that too simple for you, as in un-believable?

We live apparently in different worlds. We were all already dead. Nothing to fear as we already were dead and then Jesus came bringing Life as a possibility.

Give God the glory!

Correct! Without belief in Christ we are condemned already. John 3:18
However, through faith in Christ, we are NOT condemned. So where does the Law carry any weight, in causing us to be not condemned??
It doesn't!!

And where were Adam and Eve prior to eating of the forbidden fruit?

Since we have more knowledge then we must suffer greater consequences for our shortcomings:

"But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more." Luke 12:48
