My experience of religious institutions and faith-based organisations, large, medium, or small, is that Monstrous Authority manifests in many ways, often lurking in the shadows, sometimes stepping out briefly, or hanging around for awhile during skirmishes, but much preferring to be centre-stage with a full head of steam.
