Nope you got it 100% backwards.
They appeared to many people on earth.
It makes zero sense for you to reframe it.
But for sure it is doctrine related
Let's see, you say I reframe the verse, when I simply quote what is written. OTOH you add "people on earth" to the verse attempting to force the verse to agree with your unbiblical opinion. I show seven translations below, and NONE of them add "people on earth". That leaves me to wonder if the translation you use adds "people on earth" or did you just add it because you assume it must be "people on earth"?
Matthew 27:53 (ASV) and coming forth out of the tombs after his resurrection they entered into the holy city and appeared unto many.
Matthew 27:53 (Bish) And went out of the graues, after his resurrection, and came into the holy citie, and appeared vnto many.
Matthew 27:53 (GB) And came out of the graues after his resurrection, and went into the holy citie, and appeared vnto many.
Matthew 27:53 (KJ2000) And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Matthew 27:53 (KJV16) And came out of the graues after his resurrection, and went into the holy citie, and appeared vnto many.
Matthew 27:53 (KJV) And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Matthew 27:53 (WEB) and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.
God doesn't take lightly to man adding their words to the Words found in His written book.
Revelation 22:18 (WEB) I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book.
One last question, if the saints were physically resurrected from the graves, three days after Christ arose from the dead, and seen by many PEOPLE, where are they?
I ask because the Bible tells us that when saints are bodily resurrected from the graves, they will be changed to immortal & incorruptible body that shall never die.
