I was wondering, is it that you disbelieve in the imminent return of Christ, or are the remarks you post just your way of dealing with reality? I've never met a deacon that was unconcerned about suffering before, nor I have I met any that consider life no more than one big joke. What is your story?

Ummm...he was like this before he became a Deacon and I don't find it offensive but rather a relief at times.
Especially when discussing some of the issues that we get into here... ^_^
