so we have these lying politicians telling us what they think we want to hear so they can get elected

and once they are elected, they forget about us and do whatever they want

which is why we have to put INTEGRITY first... Gee.. do ya think?? Some people don't seem to get this...

you just never know what a person w/o integrity will do... meaning a person who is not centered on CHRIST, the only perfect person who ever walked the Earth

I'm not voting for the ones who ditch Jesus... NOPE. Gary Johnson is the one w/ integrity.. the ONLY one

Anyway...

then you have babies being killed and no one seems to think about them anymore... This is VERY sad (among other things).. all this talk about OH! the poor people @ that gay place... Yes, it was bad.. yes, we grieve... but... one cable news channel turned into the Gay Channel just like that... not that it wasn't always gay-accepting/promoting

And why is Lynch coming out about all the things they are going to do (the gov) to help those POOR gay folks' familiees.

Where was she when San Bernardino happ3ened???

disgusting... these liberals... get them OUT this time

for a time I couldn't figure out... Oh... whatever... later...

politicians ramble on and ramble on until we are sick of them... and this election cycle we got sick of them all much, much sooner than in other years

they ramble away incessantly on all those topics they think people want to hear about.. always avoiding, of course... anything that makes them look bad. .. make the opponent look bad but OH Wow... I am a saint, ya know...!

yeh... blah blah blah

"OH, listen to me, EVeryone! I really CARE about people... gays, the middle class, women, just EVERYONE!!--everyone except the unborn, of course.

"Hey, why should I care about those losers? They have no vote... they have NOTHING. They are LOSERS ... can't do a blasted thing for themselves... Why should i waste my breath on them?"

crazy world...

seflishness rules....

yeh, i know... but every now and then, they do say something interesting

even a broken clock is right twice a day

Johnson is the only one a true Christian would ever even think of voting for

anyone who votes for liars and crooks.. is obviously a liar/crook him or herself

WAhhhh... Everyone cries when the perverts die. True, not all of them were gay, presumably... (Orlando) but if you believe the Bible (and i do... ) those people are all in Hell right now..

so the biggest tragedy is the one NO ONE Is talking about.. how this demon possessed person took all those people's chance at repentance, forgivenss and Heaven away from them...

That is what is really, really sad... But of course, u can't talk about such things.. People will think you love Jesus too much or something...

I'm glad Paul ryan stood up to those crazy liberals who want to ban as many protective devices as they can (aka guns)

they pulled a political stunt (aka temper tantrum) b/c the Rs... well, they stood up to them and said we dont want to take away rights w/o due process (Why those arrogant obstructionists!!!!!!!)

the Dems only want guns for THEM... the elite Dems that is... not the peansantry Dems... Hillary is protected by armed guards.. and many of those other high profile politicians are. But they dont want YOU to be able to protect yourself...

an unarmed citizenry is obviously a control-able one.. and the Dems are control freaks.

Vote them OUT...

I like the word Libertarian...

Gary Johnson is the only sane one running

the Dems are lying when they say they have compassion for... you name the group (save the unborn, of course): gays, illegals... Oh, those poor illegals! They just coudn't control themselves getting over that fence... the poor things... I know!!! Let's reward them for it! Let's give them Americans' jobs... let's give them sanctuary when they become felons...

They love only themselves... Don't believe their lies.

It seems you and I don’t share many political convictions. Fair enough. However, you got me baffled: You are aware that Gary Johnson is pro-choice? Just asking.

Here is what is on his page...

Q: You have unorthodox takes, for a member of the GOP, on abortion.
A: I support women's rights to choose up until viability of the fetus. I've supported the notion of parental notification. I've supported counseling and I've supported the notion that public funds not be used for abortions. But I don't want for a second to pretend that I have a better idea of how a woman should choose when it comes to this situation. Fundamentally this is a choice that a woman should have.

Q: Where do you stand on abortion rights?
A: It should be left up to the woman. If my daughter were pregnant and she came to me and asked me what she ought to do, I would advise her to have the child. But I would not for a minute pretend that I should make that decision for her or any other woman.

Q: But you have supported legislation that requires parental consent and signed a ban on partial birth abortions.
A: I think the decision can be made at an earlier stage. That's why I don't support partial birth abortions. I realize it's a fine line, but I generally come down on a woman's right to decide.
And you agree with that SF?

when gov, he passed a bill that limited abortion. It had to do with viability.. no abortions after age of viability
So how do you know what a ‘true Christian’ should want when it comes to abortion? It’s a topic that’s just not mentioned in the Nicene Creed and the one time the Bible could be seen as mentioning abortion, it seems to be very much in favour of it (Numbers 5:11-31). So I know many Christians, including myself, who are deeply grieved about abortions, but who think that history has shown that banning them would make things worse rather than better.

Now a topic that the Bible frequently does talk about is how we are supposed to be kind to foreigners and how we should give shelter to those seeking our protection from desolation and persecution. If I had to make a list of every verse hammering that message down, I’d still be at it past my bedtime. So kudos to the Pope for speaking out for refugees and immigrants! Maybe you should follow his example.

I don't think God wants us to lose our common sense. The world is full of evil and it is foolish to let murders into our houses. During the time of Jesus there was a pagan religion that offered up baby sacrifices.

Their pagan temple was full of prostitutes and the resulting babies were use as sacrifices. Looks like that religion is alive and well.

this post is unbelievable..

just because some specific kind of murder is not mentioned in the Nicene Creed , that means it is OK???? You need to check your logic elevator, which is not going all the way to the top, to say the least.. NO murder at all is mentioned in the Creed. I don't recall any particular sins being mentioned... Geez... But loving your neighbor (which would include not murdering him, presumably?)

IS mentioned in the 10 Commandments, which never have become, in God's eyes, the 10 Suggestions... although humans are always trying to change God's laws... Good luck with that one on Judgment Day...

"don't belive in abortion but making it illegal will make things worse"???!! Who belives that kind of nonsense? Again... logic check. Murder is murder. It is really as simple as 1 + 1 = 2. If murder is wrong (against God, against decency, if you don't want to use the term God..) then you do NOT legalize it... Legalize marijuana.. I don't care... that does not involve loss of life. But murder! All socieities on the planet say that murder is WRONG... killing an innocent person...

how nice people care about "refugees"... and yet could not care less abot the most helpless and most innocent among us... double standard...

disgusting

The verses I referenced, don’t have anything to do with pagan child sacrifice. They advise ancient Israelites how to find out whether a woman had been cheating on her husband or not. By the sounds of it the “bitter water” that women suspected of adultery were forced to drink would have killed both the mother and the possible fetus. Never mind, given our past discussions, I’m not surprised that the OT is not among your strong points. ;-)

And with you not thinking that the 10 commandments are in any way still binding for our morals, it’s probably futile to remind you of the 8th. However, please note that Paul didn’t condone slander either. But of course in this case, with the political climate that we live in, it’s well possible that you are just ill-informed yourself, so let me help you out:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_and_crime

As for your version of common sense: I fear that’s your flesh speaking rather than the spirit that comes from Christ, who told us to not just love our buddies but to also love our enemies. If you truly want to weaken ISIS etc, you should overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21) and welcome Muslim refugees from the regions they terrorize with open arms.

Don’t direct your rant at me, direct it at the ancient Israelites. They certainly did not value an unborn child the same as a born person. And they dated the beginning of a human life/the endowment with a soul much much later than Gary Johnson does. We know that abortions were practiced in Biblical times, but by the looks of it the Bible’s authors weren’t ethically concerned about abortions at all.

That said, I hate abortions at least as much as most 21th century Christians do. But I don’t think criminalizing them is a solution to this tragedy. We know by experience that banning abortions just drives women to back-alley abortions or self-mutilation, often with a lethal ending for both the fetus and the woman. So there’d just be more death’s. IMHO the best chances for minimizing the number of abortions lie in sexual education, access to contraception, providing women with unwanted pregnancies with counselling, with affordable medical care, paid motherhood-leaves, free childcare and overall social security. I suppose your persona would say that this constitutes ungodly socialism. ;-)

Back in the late 90ies Germany introduced a law making it compulsory to get counselling before being allowed to have an abortion. Catholic welfare organizations that had offered counselling for pregnant women before, were forbidden by the Church to provide their clients with the necessary papers and essentially had to close down. Previously Catholic charities had had by far the highest success rates in convincing clients to not have an abortion but to carry out the pregnancy. So some Catholic counsellors founded a rebel charity that keeps on counselling and issues the documents necessary for for § 218a Abs. 1 StGB. Do you think they are disgusting and bad Christians for having saved thousands of lifes, both unborn and born?

It seems to me that before the PILL women's sexuality was held in check by the lack of abortion. Today most all women have had sex outside of marriage by the time they reach 21. The god of sex is running wild and it has as it's place of sacrifice; the abortion clinics.

Asking a young man of age 15 -21 to obstain from sex is asking alot! Every guy here knows that an no woman here can fully comphrend it from a male's point of view!

Yet I know no young girls that age have that problem.... Heck, they easily said no to me many times!

Ok. Joking aside... I want to hear from some women because as far as Im concerned abstinence before marriage is the only answer.

Yet, i live in a pretty poor neighborhood. Gals are going to have a hard time getting out of here without being pregnet before 20 and guys are going to have a hard time not having 3 wives (biblically) before 22!

No job. No hope. No dad. No solid education. Nothing constructive to do. Jakked up on sugar, drugs and alcohol. Even if you escape all that, you are around those who aren't.

And our government gives more welfare bucks to those who have more children!

Its a no win situation. I see this every day.... And I don't even live in the worst sections of my town.

Sorry for the rant. But I hope folks think more things throughly about issues.

This is as far as i have read

aGAIN, you are being illogical (only true Catholicism is in consistent conformity with logic).

if abortion is murder, than it should be criminalized. End of Problem.

Anything said beyond that is gibberish and illogical ... cow excrement

get involved w/ changing society, but FIRST change yourself. And all humans, being sinners, need to change. Jesus said FEW make it to Heaven.. Only those who do the will of the Father will get there.. and the will of the Father means doiing things HIS way and not our sinful human way... not as easily done as said, to be sure... which is why He gave us a Church. He knew how badly we need help... He knows this far better than we do... we who cling to what is so bad for us( sin)

Anyway... society's problem is lack of morals. And it is as simple as that

So... we see how Bernie Sanders says:

"Nevvvvver minnnnnd!"

"I didn't mean it... all that stuff about Wall Street needing to change... Nope... Never mind! Go vote for HIllary. All that stuff I said about her? Ha ha... you didn't really believe I was THAT against her, did you?"

As that villain in The LIttle Mermaid said, with an evil laugh

"You pitiful, insignificant FOOLS!"

yeh.... pathetic...

no wonder politicians are thought to be lower than used car salesmen.. lower than the media?? hmmmm... toss up??

slime o' the earth...

Anyhow...

I love Clarence Thomas. He dissented from that monstrous Sup Ct decision just made, that went against TX. Legislators there tried to make abortionists live by the same rules as doctors in hospitals and elsewhere who do not do abortions.. But you know how it goes in this sick society... can't outlaw abortion or make it more difficult... These men making these laws (or removing laws, in this case) might get some young thing pregnent and OOPS! ..not want her to be pregnant... Remember, it was 7 MEN who legalized abortion... 7 MEN...

this society is so sick.. Of course only Jesus and HIs Church (the Catholic Church) can fix society and heal us... the saints said the Church is a "hospital for sinners."

Time to go see the doctor, you sickos out there... who keep wanting to kill babies (created in God's image)

"Whatever you do to [them] you do to God" Mt 25:31-46

"Thou shalt not murder"
