She's an old friend of mine, and the doctors and nurses are baffled. They've put a stint in for circulation, but all they know is she will lose 1 to 3 of them.

Poisoning, diabetes resulting in neuropathy and subsequently getting bruising and subsequently gangrene.

Could be carpal tunnel resulting in circulation loss to an extreme.

If it's the pointer finger going towards the other side it's in the wrist...
But generally speaking if it's the pinky finger going towards the center it's in the palm somewhere.

What in the world?? Just now seeing this. I'd say circulation issues maybe?? Did you hurt the hand at all? I've seen Raynaud's many times but, not to this dark shade. Call doctor!

What the heck? They will take some of her fingers? Seems easy enough to find where her circulation (if, that is indeed what it is) is cutting off? I do not know enough about it but. She has my prayers as well as PW's.

Looks like the pinky to me. And, gradually going to the other fingers. I do hope it is something someone can find before they have to do something drastic.

I kinda thought so too...

I just know from my hands and tendonitis that in the morning it's usually from my wrists...
But sometimes when driving (hand on stick shift knob) it's my pinky going towards the center fingers.

But my hands might be different than others... surely someone with real medical knowledge would know more about why this is.

They saw stuff like this on covid patients as well . But they would have probably arleady tested for that .
