No problem, glad to help.

I just finished Joseph's story again a night or two ago so let me know if you want to discuss it at all.

You might want to include Hebrew Sages and Rabbinical writings considering the Hebrews are the ones who have been maintaining the Torah, their system of belief, since Moses. And have grieved and gleaned it for everything they can for understanding and wisdom. Some very prominent sages like Rashi can be way out there as far as the convert view of the Lord God is. I’ve had converted Rabbis tell me Rashi is no good for the convert. But some of these sages and Rabbis have comments in the Stone Edition of the Torah which from my understanding is a reputable edition of the Torah. And some are online.
Rashbam
radak
sforno
berachos
r’gedaliah schorr
just to name a few, the reason its better then gentile writings other than maybe the Christian view which in many cases is way off base when it comes to what things and names and events meant. The sages don’t necessarily always write with religious over tones, and many were just examining the historical facts with the fact of the Lord their God in view.

Encouraging to bring aboard Commentators that view Joseph as a Type of the Godman Christ in Gen.37.

Old Jack
Lets try that again shall we - commentators who view Joseph as a type of Jesus Christ! Joseph never thought he was God or did he believe his life was a pattern of being God - the Son of Man - yes.

Thank you for your surprising reply!

I thought it was generally understood that Joseph stands out till today as a type of the Godman Christ.

Relook at Gen.37:1-28 again, that is, Joseph is a righteous man and in this capacity is strongly say antagonized and made to suffer for righteousness' sake but finally triumphs over all iniquity, so the truly Righteous One, the Savior of men, experiences the same thing in an intensified exponential degree, correct?

The former is just the tip of the iceberg,
