H2H, I have no argument against the religious hopes of the present Jewish conservative group in Israel. Nor any debate against their current preparations for what they believe to be necessary for the coming of their Messiah... mistakenly nonetheless.
My only issue is with how the prophecy of 2Thess. is determined to be fulfilled in this Jerusalem temple. Paul said specifically that the fulfillment of the prophecy concerning the man of sin would be found in the temple of God. Now whatever the Jews may think, their temple, regardless how careful their preparations, can never be the temple of God. Ever. Therefore we need to look elsewhere for the fulfillment of the prophecy. The man of sin cannot appear in the temple in heaven, which leaves only one remaining alternative. The Christian Church.

The Christian Church is not a physical building, but a spiritual entity. As such, cannot be where the transgression of desolation and the abomination of desolation will take place.

Zechariah 14 Is The Eternal Kingdom​

Zechariah 14:1-12 below shows the Lords return to earth in fire in final judgement.

Doesn't say his fathers were Hebrew. This is how Eisegesis works...one thinks a passage has something when it doesn't. You are reading in that his fathers were Hebrew/Jewish so the figure being addressed must ethnically be Jewish but the text does not say any of that.
