I like to read the bible through each year. So I'm returning to a book I used once before called "footsteps through the Bible" that I have in Logos. So far it's my favorite bible plan. I also hope to take off a few lbs.

This is true. If I bathe my mind in God's word, I have peace of mind and happiness unknown before. Every time my mind wanders I have something to check my thoughts against and then delete not only the bad ones but also those that might otherwise pass if not for the word.

Over the decades I have made many. Trouble is, I don't keep any.
I get too ambitious in making them , so I have never kept them.

Because of reading many decades ago about the story in Judges 11
"whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the LORD's, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering."
He made a stupid vow, and then his daughter came running out to meet him!! So I have never, never, ever made any vow to the Lord, just to myself. But never been true to myself

So, now I don't even bother. :)
