You to Aspen... preaching to others to live up to something you aren't living up to yourself... even to the point where you freaked out when someone brought light what you were living like...

Convincing a bunch of people that you're better than you are isn't the righteousness of Christ... haha

Where have I claimed to be better than anyone? You've really got an ax to grind against people you declare to be hypocritical. We are all hypocrites, Robbie - even you. It doesn't matter that your friends go around reporting each others sins to the public - it is not a mark of righteousness - dude, it means you guy lack executive functioning! At least get someone to hang around with a frontal lobe! You have been an a mission to destroy the testimonies of everyone here - not sure what happened to you

The gospel is freedom - it is not going to make anyone perfect (until death and resurrection) - therefore we are all hypocrites, simply trying to follow the same Christ.

My point was never that I had less sin than any of you... and you know that... that's what you guys are saying... that in some way you guys are going to finally make yourselves righteous enough for the blood of Jesus to finally be able to cover your sins...

My point is that I'm not going to let anyone put my salvation on my works... because it's already proven that I can't live up to the righteous standards of God...

So don't act like I'm trying to put myself above you...

I'm putting us all on the same level and Christ above all...

You blow it... I blow it... they blow it... we all blow it... except Christ who fulfilled the law... not only for Himself... but for all who will receive the gift of His righteousness that's in the covering of His blood...

Robbie,

You have declared war on all the people here, who recognize that we need to participate in our relationship with Jesus. The gloves are off and you appear to be out for blood - claiming that this is how you always act - if that is true, you need to check yourself because you have a real issue with authority, friend. I am not claiming that any of us are you authority, but I am saying that you are obviously fighting against some past authority that oppressed you. We are not that authority so knock it off.

Instead of finding this 'new heresy' that you believe needs to be stamped out at any cost - all you are doing is arguing one side of the classic Protestant Catholic debate. If you think you are to reconcile this debate by berating and yelling and stomping your feet - good luck. Both sides have very good reasons for believing what they believe about the role of faith and works.

Is it really worth alienating yourself from your friends because they do not believe or act like you demand them to? I really thought you were a love first rather than doctrine first kind of guy.

You do understand how typically religious it is aspen to think me having different beliefs than you and standing firm in them and for me to call you on your bull is a reason to go to war? I mean isn't that why the catholics and protestants are at war? But that's so ridiculous... that's stupid religions... yep... I said it... both catholic and Protestant are just stupid carnal based religions. As well as all the other stupid religions. Which are really just stupid carnal based divisions.

And dude... if me being who I am... having the beliefs I have... and living in the truth cases people to alienate themselves from me they're not my friends anyways.

I mean Jesus called Peter satan... Paul called out Peter for being a hypocrite... Paul and Barnabas got into it...

Friend's are people you can be yourself around...

How's the saying go, "A friend is someone that when you've made a donkey out of yourself... doesn't feel you've done a permanent job"

A friend is not someone who submits to your way of thinking and never calls you on your bull... haha

A friend is someone accept you for who you are and loves you anyway... but is also honest with you and keeps you accountable.

That's all I'm being is honest...

The problem Robbie, is that you are covering up your sin of gossip in righteous, pious language - essentially "I am just keeping it real!" And, as 'religious' as it may sound, if you cannot submit to authority in this life - how are you going to submit to the sanctification necessary to prepare you for eternity? Sanctification is all about killing off the ego - basically one humiliation after another in the face of authority.
