Are we keeping score? Lol. I should hope not...it is not the quantity of posts one makes, it is the quality of what is IN the post. We could all get a ton of posts that are one liners, or bereft of any real meat.

The expression 'cool' is such a fickle passing shortsighted poorly approved of relative and domain of those who say yay today and nay tomorrow! That goes for 'uncool' as well. It leaves me with the definite feeling of, don't trust anything to the purveyors of these values.....they are just as likely to suck up to you one day and crucify you the next.....they are as unstable as water.

I used to do Christmas cards with candy canes at school they were "da bomb" back then.

Yes it is lol but when you say it it doesn't sound weird or uncool since I don't look to you as a father figure. XD (Friend yes but it's different.

I still have a landline, and I am not sure I would ever give that up in favour of just having a mobile. I still write letters but must admit that work and tiredness get in the way. I am on holiday soon, so I will play catch up. I have a laptop, but must admit I prefer my iPad. I still have a tv, but seldom watch it ( usually watch things from my ipad )
I seldom go shopping for food , do that online most of the time now. I am grateful as I don’t have a car so online food shopping and delivery was such a blessing when they introduced that many years ago.
I think amazon is great, but wish the owner would dip into his fortune and treat his staff a bit better, like many rich owners of companies- totally selfish !
I am going off social media - think online bullying is having a major effect on the young generation but also it promotes so much self interest and victimisation attitudes.
Use to read newspapers, might read the local ones as my dad still has a daily delivery.
It’s quite fun at work sometimes as we have loads of things from ‘ back in the day ‘ as it helps on the demencia community. Like the old style telephone. They have quizzes about the old days ( you know you are old when the lifestyle team member comes and asks you the answers to the questions they have from the 60’s quiz, and even worse when you know all the answers !! Lol )
I like the balance of old and new , then and now xx

It's frustrating reading news online today. None of them report anything today without political bias which means you cannot trust what you are reading.
40 years ago the newspaper I most commonly bought and read was touted by it's detractors as too right wing. They were probably right but in those days I couldn't care less. I was only interested in the sports and the crossword.
I haven't had a landline since...ummm...

I have a landline....and horrors, no cell phone! Actually, I'm not much of a phone person. And the most phone calls I get are from telemarketers...so don't need them bugging me on a cell phone, too! And I am supposed to be on the do not call list.
A few bills and birthday cards I mail out. A long time ago I had pen pals from around the world. I do mail out Christmas cards each year but am trying to shorten my list a bit.
I get nearly all of the news from TV, just antenna TV. I do watch some programs like talent shows, Survivor, game shows (with my elderly mom), and some mysteries.

It seems to me that the MORE WE SPEAK, the more the government tracks us. For example, FB, Cell Phone (which also tracks our LOCATION), Land Line, Covid Tracking, Credit Cards... So to validate the premise consider:
English is the World's Language, so we'll use the English alphabet, and "6" as the number of "man" who works six days:
... and because no man can "buy or sell", which requires a Computer Database, let's sum the word C O M P U T E R:
And as a case in point, we reduced our Land Line to local calls only for $7/mo, but the Taxes and Fees for the $7 bill was $14 = $21 total. And so it seems to me that we're being DRIVEN to a cell phone which tracks our LOCATION. :)

You know it’s really interesting, I looked back to some of the posts, and predictions from 2019 on here ( okay so I know it’s not that far back and a bit of a side track on the OP ) I was studying Luke 22 , you know the passage that is forever being conveyed within the threads.
I started out looking through the NT, after Jesus had conveyed to his disciples that they should be prepared ( the purse, bag, sword ect.
I found that a sword was only mentioned in the New Testament as something being used by others, the apostles never needed one , they never defended themselves with a sword !
Within their letters they equally never encouraged the churches to ‘ get a sword ‘ it’s never mentioned!
I searched old threads, just to find out the context of when I first heard the verse. This was before the Covid 19 outbreak. It was an eye opener to how we critique others when they speculate about what will happen, claim things ourselves, and those that are critiqued are more accurate than the things we have ourselves claimed as fact.
It made me realise that human reasoning can still get in the way, even when we are so sure. Also perhaps those we laugh at ( sovereign grace was quite close with a few things she was obsessed with )
It was a personal lesson for me over something, but it is good to look back in general as it helps in the weighing up process.
I did also look at revelation with regards to the two witnesses, please can someone tell me where Pence and Trump have relayed prophecy, well am hardly going to hear about that in the press, but it is a criteria for the two witnesses, also dressed in sackcloth !
Think that will have to be a look back at some stage in the future !
