I learnt something yesterday. The American voting system was original invented by and Australian and he sold the system to the USA government to totalise the outcome.

In Australia the system is used to tally betting slips for horse racing.

In the USA it is use in a similar fashion except the betting on horses is exchanged for politicians.

I really cannot see the difference because the punter looses as the odds are stacked against him.

I'm not so sure voting works even when the system is not rigged like it has been.

Our current Government shutdown is evidence that it doesn't work.
