In studying the Seven Church ages I ran upon a William Branham who first enlightened me to the fact that there were indeed seven church ages. In which he was also known as one of "God's Generals."

However... Thinking that man was the head of these seven churches made himself the leader of the Laodicean Church age. And having exalted himself too high, was cast down. As the web site on 'God's Generals' states...
"William Marrion Branham, the 'father of the healing revival' had to be removed from the earth because of his disobedience to his call and the creation of doctrinal confusion."
So Hymeneus, Philetus, and William Branham ought to be a warning to us not to rise too high and claim we know more about Revelations then we actually do! Another sad example is Jimmy Swaggert, whose ministry remains broken to this day!
