Could it be that the Biden Harris administration is a blessing from God? I read so often that God wanted a Trump administration. That Trump is God's man to bring conservative policies back into fashion. Yet if that were the case, was God's plans thwarted,? Christians often like to quote...

KJV Romans 13:1-2
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

...when there's a government they like. But that scripture tends to be conspicuous by it's absence when there's a government Christians don't like. So God wasn't powerful enough to bring about a presidency to His liking? Maybe the church wasn't praying enough... Yet surely not, I've never witnessed a more cohesive determined spiritual and physical response to a candidate ever in my life. Not even Reagan, or Carter or Bush, all professed Christians, got the church behind them any where near so much as had Trump. The devil and deep state more powerful than God who rules and reigns over the nations?
I think we need to remember who actually is the apple of God's eye. It's you. It isn't America. He wants what is best for you personally at all times, in all seasons, in all circumstances, and unless you stubbornly resist all His pleadings and chastisements, He will organise circumstances that will assist in your development, and happiness and maturity and He would not do anything other than what you would approve of if you could see the end from the beginning.
Was the church ready for a Trump presidency again? What really would have been the likely outcome of a Christian friendly state? What does history reveal? In the 4th century the state became friendly to the church. The emperor actually presided over church councils. What happened to the church then that was so enamored of the emperor? She apostatized. She grew complacent. She stopped growing. Her spiritual power disappeared and she had to resort to the state for the following 1200 years in order to wield any authority.
Maybe as I suggested in a thread several months ago, a Biden or Harris presidency is a blessing sent by God for the churches benefit? Before the above church/state union in the medieval church the church was spiritually unstoppable. She grew in leaps and bounds despite constant and vicious opposition. And even during the dark ages, when the Roman church was persecuting non Catholic Christians before and during the reformation, the church outside of the Catholic communion grew in power and the whole world was affected through the truths of the gospel. But I guess if there came opposition to the church through the current administration and worldview of it's supporters, any benefits would depend on what you do with it and your personal attitude toward those who hate you.
And then of course all the above just might be turned on it's proverbial ear with the second coming of Trump. Seems Christians are working harder to that end than speeding up Christ's second coming. And maybe that's the very reason you've got Biden.

Some people can not trust the warning signs.
They have to literally experience a disaster, before they believe it.

o_O Considering this is the guy responsible for incarcerating over 2 million black men with the 1994 crime bill for non-violent offenses, that denied them the right to vote, to get student aid, the ability get a grant for education, to get a job, among other things, I would hardly call this chump a "blessing". A blessing to who exactly? He ain't a blessing to my people. And yes, Trump was all for it at the time as well, and did exactly zero to correct the damage that's been done during his four years in office. As the saying goes, birds of a feather, flock together. Neither is "Gods man". The very thought of it is insulting. Being used as tools for his purpose doesn't make them part of his crew, or "Godly". They are no more "Gods man" than the Pharaoh of Egypt.

I am not suggesting that either man is "God's man". And I recognise the plight and historical pain of indigenous and non indigenous people the world over. Yet in the midst of that pain and suffering, your people, and those indigenous in my homeland, brought to the world a wonderful legacy of music and poetry and spirituality born in desperation and suffering, yet praise and gratitude for a gracious and merciful God.
Biden will likely be a terrible curse upon the nation. His followers, the woke politically correct liberal supporters of his party may well be the inspiration behind policies aimed at the disempowerment of Christianity and the church. Policies directly and indirectly opposed to every biblical principle the Christian Church upholds. While superficially such policies may seem detrimental, I think that isn't necessarily so. Historically the church is strengthened mightily during times of opposition and persecution. African American churches are among the most faithful churches in the nation and they were born in trouble. Some elements of the church may suffer, and may even cave in to the opposition becoming the church's bitterest and most strident enemies, but for the faithful, such a situation may drive them closer to Christ whereas in a climate where the church and state are in close relations and everything going well, such close spiritual retains may not follow, perhaps even the opposite.

I would say;
BY the Israelites understanding ... bad
BY Gods understanding ... good
The captivity made no difference to God's overall plans... Messiah still came and great prophets ministered in captivity... Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Amos. Israel learned some very important lessons perhaps later distorted by the leadership, but never again did Israel go into idolatry. Maybe, just maybe, there some lessons needing to be learned by the church during the coming months... Years. Thus shall this administration be a blessing for the church. If the church is willing to learn

:confused:And that's exactly the issue, the "church". What has the church gaining "strength" done for so called black people in the 402 years of their unfortunate existence in this hell hole of a country since 1619? My people have been just as lost as they have been since they set foot in this country and had their true history stolen and their identities hidden. There is a reason why these scam churches can't tell me who the hell my people are past being porch monkeys on a plantation. My people are not "African American", never was. My people are the dry bones in Ezekiel 37 God has been rising up these last few years, to who they actually are. The "church" is being exposed for exactly what it has always been. Full of liars, thieves and false prophets. ;)

It isn't about what the church has done for you. It's what Jesus has done for you. And if "your people,", or whatever name you wish to be designated as, attempt to accomplish anything outside of Jesus you'll lose. You'll be making the same mistake the conservative right have been making these past 20 or so years... Trying to establish righteousness and identity through politics.

o_OSo first you spoke at length about what the church has done....now it's about what Jesus has done. If you actually look closely at what you wrote, you'll see exchanging the word "church" with "Jesus" doesn't change your narrative one iota. "My people" don't have to "accomplish" anything. God will fight for my people and redeem them. God made it very clear to his true chosen in the very last sentence of Deut 28 that no man shall redeem them from the nation of their captivity and affliction, except him. Not Presidents, democrats, Republicans, "churches", bit coin, whatever. This is why nothing ever works out for so called black people every election. Meanwhile, you're here talking about political parties.....I could care less than two poop stains about your parties.

Your antagonism is unbecoming someone who claims God is in his side. And your antagonism has colored your understanding of what I was saying in my posts. Either read them again and get what I'm saying, or go away. Your fighting a battle here I'm not engaged in.

;)Yeah dude...I understood your message 100%. Without Jesus, you lose..Yes, of course..and..lets not forget who he came for in the first place. The same people he said would be led away into captivity into all nations, while Jerusalem is given into the hands of the gentiles.

Could it be that the Biden Harris administration is a blessing from God?

Sure. But now, I also take God's severity and His judgments as a blessing, even if it includes suffering and death. This was the proper Christian attitude in NT times, and should be today, as you know.
I read so often that God wanted a Trump administration. That Trump is God's man to bring conservative policies back into fashion. Yet if that were the case, was God's plans thwarted,?

This question has come up several times, and my response is simply that God has His own desires for each nation, but He also honors the desires of the people, and if they prefer sin to righteousness, He will let them have their wish. This was Paul's teaching in Romans 1:21-29.
Christians often like to quote...

KJV Romans 13:1-2
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Indeed, and this is where many sin. In all honesty, I wouldn't stop praying for a leader even if he were a child-sacrificing, blood drinking pedophile who set his sacrifices on fire while they were still alive and laughed while he watched them being tortured. Makes no difference. He is still a man; he is still someone God has placed in power, and as such Christians should pray for him that as much as possible they might lead a peaceable existence on the earth.

Yes, and this is another point that is lost on people. What happens to America doesn't really effect me all that much, and you have to let people go through what they willfully choose for themselves. It is not me who will pay for the mistakes. They will, and I'm at peace with that. It saddens me a little, but you have to be at peace with that or it will effect your spirit, and that's not what the Lord has called us to.

Yes. I remember that thread. It was a good thread, even though I was a tad leery of going anywhere near it, Lol.

Not gonna happen : )

Hi, Dcopymope.

Lately when I read your posts, there seems to be a division in your thinking between blacks and whites with regard to the church. Do you still believe the church is made up of all races and colors, or is there a divide in your mind now against whites?

God bless,
- H

A lot of dirt has been done in God's name in the name of white supremacy. I needn't go into detail about its history, because you should know that, if you want to pretend like there hasn't been a division since this nation was founded, as your ancestors set up a nation of unjust weights, which is an abomination in the sight of God. So really, I feel nothing for this nation's fall, this nation of unrepentance for its heinous acts. Let God turn this wicked nation to dust, for his peoples sake. :)

(Isaiah 10:1-2) "Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; {2} To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!"

(Proverbs 11:1) "A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight."

Yes, you've said this. Numerous times in fact, LoL.

I'm asking you if you're prejudiced at this point.
