Order of precedence ?

so we have been told and know the greatest and second greatest commandment - would anyone put the others in their following order of greatness - winc

The commandments were meant for a people without the indwelling Spirit of God. I don't see it as profitable to delve into this topic legalistically. However I would go as far as to categorize some of them.

Many of the commandments had spiritual undertones, such as those against murder, adultery, and idolatry. I see these as the most important as they will destroy your body and soul.

Other commandments seem to be symbolic and for the health of the body, such as those against eating pork and destroying mold infested homes.

Then there are the commandments that are purely symbolic, such as not muzzling the ox when it treads grain.
