Yes. You can lose security if it is based on self. and Not God.
You can also lose faith if YOU fail to edure.
That’s on YOU not God. That’s why prayer and communication with Him is so important.

1 Thess. 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

For those who trust God.

our security is in him.. so we will never lose hope.. He promised he would never leave nor forsake us.
And He won't - IF we keep trusting in Him. - (Matt. 7:19-23, Matt. 10:22, Matt. 24:13, Matt. 25:31–46, John 15:1-6, Rom. 11:22, 1 Cor. 4:4, 1 Cor. 9:27, 1 Cor. 10:12, 1 Tim. 4:1, 1 Tim. 4:16, 2 Tim. 2:12, Heb. 3:6, Heb. 3:12-14, Heb. 6:4-6, Heb. 10:26-27, 2 Pet. 2:20-21, 2 Pet. 3:17, 1 John 2:24, 1 John 5:13, Rev. 3:5, Rev. 22:19)
But keep working. I mean your name itself. the bread of life. when are you going to partake of it so you can live forever? Never die. Have eternal life. Pass from death to life. And Have Gods promise he will raise you on the last day?
EVERY chance I get in the Eucharist . . .

John 6:53-57

So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me.

Faith in the greek is having confidence in. Having an assurance in someone or something. It is living faith based on evidence not blind faith.

Your faith is in you works. your deeds. because it is what you practice. not out of appreciation for What God did for you. Not out of loving others because God first loved you and gave you the power to love. Not because you were made a new creature.

but to try to save yourself..

My faith is in God. He said as moses lifted the serpent. so to much he be raised that whoever has faith will never perish and have eternal life.

No works involved.

Here let me give these to you. non of your pears will respond. will you?

the gospel according to Jesus and the apostle paul

show me the works..

John 1: 12. But AS MANY AS HAVE RECIEVED HIM, to THEM he gave the right to become children, even TO THEM WHO BELIEVE (no works)

John 3, FOR God so loved the world he gave his only son that WHOEVER BELIEVES (trusts) in him will NEVER PERISH, and LIVE FOREVER (eternal life) for the son was not sent to . . .

this is what our faith is in, the grace and mercy of God. not our deeds.
You guys ALWAYS post Eph. 2:8-9 as “proof” that works have nothing to do with faith:

Eph. 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.

But you usually skip the very next verse, which says:

Eph. 2:8-10

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Faith is from GOD – which includes works that HE prepared for us. They are a GIFT (grace) to us – provided that we cooperate with that grace. The works HE prepared for us are an essential part of the whole faith package – NOT just “proof” of it. The works that WE do in order to try to “earn” salvation by being a “good” person are the ones that are worthless . . .

You guys ALWAYS post Eph. 2:8-9 as “proof” that works have nothing to do with faith:
because we only need one verse. But her, there are many more

Show me the works required in these gospel messages from Jesus and Paul

John 1: 11: 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12. But AS MANY AS HAVE RECIEVED HIM, to THEM he gave the right to become children, even TO THEM WHO BELIEVE 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (no works)

John 3, FOR God so loved the world he gave his only son that WHOEVER BELIEVES (trusts) in him will NEVER PERISH, and LIVE FOREVER (eternal life) for the son was not sent to judge, but that the world might be saved, he who BELIEVES is NOT CONDEMNED, he who does not believe is condemned already (no works)

John 4: 13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will NEVER THIRST. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into EVERLASTING LIFE” (no works)

John 5: 24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he whoever HEARS MY WORD and BELIEVES IN HIM WHO SENT ME who sent Me HAS ETERNAL LIFE and SHALL NOT COME INTO JUDGMENT but HAS PASSED FROM DEATH TO LIFE (No works)

John 6: 35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. HE WHO COMES TO ME shall NEVER HUNGER and he who BELIEVES IN ME shall NEVER THIRST (NO WORKS)

John 6: 37: and THE ONE WHO COMES TO ME I WILL BY NO MEANS CAST OUT 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, thatof all He has given Me I SHAL LOSE NOTHING, but SHOULD RAISE IT UP ON THE LAST DAY. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that EVERYONE WHO SEES AND BELIEVES IN HIM MAY HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE AND I WILL (NOT MIGHT) RAISE HIM ON THE LAST DAY (NO WORKS)

John 6: 47 Most assuredly, I say to you, HE WHO BELIEVES IN ME HAS EVERLASTING LIFE. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that THAT ONE MAY EAT OF IT AND NOT DIE 51 am the living bread which came down from heaven. IF ANYONE EATS THIS BREAD HE WILL LIVE FOREVER (NO WORKS)

John 6: 63 It is the SPIRIT WHO GIVES LIFE ; the flesh profits nothing. THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK to you ARE SPIRIT AND THEY ARE LIFE (SIGNIFYING THE BREAD FROM HEAVEN, THE FLESH AND BOOD ARE THE WORDS JESUS SPOKE. NOT THE PHYSICAL FOOD OR WORKS,)

EPH 1: 13 In Him YOU ALSO TRUSTED , after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also ,HAVING BELIEVED YOU WERE SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE 14 who IS THE GAURANTEE OF OUR INHERITANCE until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

THE INHERITANCE HE SAID WE ALREADY HAD IN THE 1ST 12 VERSES. (AGAIN, NO WORKS)

eph 2: 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses,MADE US ALIVE together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and RAISED US UP TOGETHER , and MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN HEAVENLY PLACES 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED (A COMPLETED ACTION) THROUGH FAITH , (AS MANY AS HAVE RECIEVED) and that NOT OF YOURSELVES ; it IS THE GIFT OF GOD, 9 NOT OF WORKS LEST ANYONE SHOULD BOAST (NO WORKS)

rom 4: 3 For what does the Scripture say? “ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD AND HE ACOUNTED IT TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.” 4 Now TO HIM WHO WORKS, THE WAGES ARE NOT COUNTED AS GRACE BUT DEBT (Works cancels out grace. and makes it a wage) 5 But TO HIM WHO DOES NOT WORK but BELIEVES ON HIM WHO JUSTIFIES THE UNGOLDY , his HIS FAITH IS ACCOUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS (AGAIN NO WORKS. PERIOD)

rom 4: 16 Therefore IT IF OF FAITH THAT IT MAY BE ACCORDING TO GRACE , so that THE PROMISE MAY BE SURE TO ALL THE SEED not only to those who are of the law, but also TO THOSE WHO ARE OF THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM , who is the father of us all (AGAIN, NO WORKS, IT IS OF GRACE THROUGH FAITH)

Rom 4: 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but ALSO FOR US, IT SHALL BE IMPUTED TO US WHO BELIEVE IN HIM WHO RAISED UP JESUS OUR LORD FROM THE DEAD , 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was RAISED BECAUSE OF OUR JUSTIFICATION (AGAIN NO WORKS)

Rom 11: 6 And IF BY GRACE, THAN IT IS NO LONGER OF WORKS, ; otherwise GRACE IS NO LONGER GRACE.But IF IT IS OF WORKS, THEN IT IS NO LONGER OF GRACE. OTHERWISE WORK IS NO LONGER WORK (AS i HAVE SAID NUMEROUS TIME, GRACE + WORKS = WORKS.. GRACE AND WORKS CAN NOT MIX IN THE AREA OF SALVATION. ITS LIKE MIXING OIL AND WATER)

2 Tim 1: 9 who HAS SAVED US (A COMPLETED ACTION) and called us with a holy calling, NOT ACCORDING TO OUR WORKS , but ACCORDING TO HIS OWN PURPOSE AND GRACE which was GIVEN TO US in Christ Jesus BEFORE TIME BEGAN (AGAIN, NO WORKS. BUT GRACE)

Titus 3: 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (GOOD DEEDS) WHICH WE HAVE DONE , but ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HE SAVED USthrough the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that HAVING BEEN JUSTIFIED BY HIS GRACE we should become HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE
(AGAIN, NO QUESTION HERE. PAUL LEAVES NO QUESTION. NO GOOD DEED CAN SAVE US,. WE ARE SAVED BY GODS MERCY, AND GIVEN THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE. WHICH IS PROMISED BEFORE TIME BEGAN

Titus 1: 2
in HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE which GOD WHO CAN NOT LIE PROMISED BEFORE TIME BEGAN

I have been saved. It does not say I am being saved.

Saved is in the perfect tense. Meaning it is a completed action.

I was saved by grace. period. But God will not force it on me. He wants me in faith to recieve it (john 1: 12)

It is not of works. lest anyone should boast.

And then paul gives us a spiritual truth. Those saved already will do works.

the works do not save them, paul did not contradict himself in one passage

You’re still confused. – and your confusion stems from your trying to separate faith from the works which God has prepared for us to complete (Eph. 2:10). As I stated before and what the Bible teaches – it’s not “Faith + Works”. Works are an essential element of Faith.

Works by themselves have no worth and cannot earn salvation. Surrender, trust and obedience is what faith is.
Non-Catholics always leave out the “obedience” element.

Romans 11 says it all . . .

Rom. 11:6

And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the BASIS of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

You failed here.

NONE of the verses you presented say that WE can’t be lost by our OWN doing.

The Bible is crystal-clear that we CAN: Matt. 7:19-23, Matt. 10:22, Matt. 24:13, Matt. 25:31–46, John 15:1-6, Rom. 11:22, 1 Cor. 4:4, 1 Cor. 9:27, 1 Cor. 10:12, 1 Tim. 4:1, 1 Tim. 4:16, 2 Tim. 2:12, Heb. 3:6, Heb. 3:12-14, Heb. 6:4-6, Heb. 10:26-27, 2 Pet. 2:20-21, 2 Pet. 3:17, 1 John 2:24, 1 John 5:13, Rev. 3:5, Rev. 22:19

Your insistence that a person cannot lose their salvation is unbiblical – when read in CONTEXT.
Just as a person who is saved from drowning by being pulled into a boat can LOSE his salvation by jumping off the boat and trying to swim by himself.

The Bible is also clear that I am BEING SAVED (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, 7:1, Phil. 2:12, Heb 12:14).
And I live in faithful hop that I WILL BE saves
(Matt. 24:13, Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15).

you failed to show me works in all of those passages.

Until you do. I will just assume you can not. because works are not required.

You taking me to another passage of scripture does not help you. The bible can not contradict.. Your causing all those passages I used to contradict the passages you post.

You must solve the contradiction (ps I already have.. so unless you can show me where I am wrong in my assumptions. I can not agree with you)

You’re not only confused – you’re dishonest.

I HAVE shown you verses that not only talk about the necessity of works – but explain how works are indeed an essential element of faith and not just and “extra” (1 Cor. 1:13, Gal. 5:6, James 1:14-24). If you don’t have love and obedience – you DON’T have a saving faith.

Love, trust and obedience ALL require cooperation with God’s grace . . .

YOUR THE DISHONEST ONE

I asked you to show me works in the passage I gave you. Not in the verses you gave me

The fact you still can not show me one work in any of the passages I gave you just shows me you can’t. If you could you would have by now instead you try to claim shift

Look if you do not want to partake of the true bread of life which endures forever. That’s on you. Again don’t blame me. Your giving me no reason to come to you you give me passages out of context that contradict all the verses I gave

Again resolve the contradiction or you have nothing

Not every verse will give you an explanation. Verses 1 Cor. 1:13, Gal. 5:6, James 1:14-24 do just that. They explain what is meant by having “Faith”.

Peter
spoke well of YOU when he warned that Paul’s letters were difficult to understand - and that thee ignorant and unstable would twist them to their
OWN destruction (2 Pet. 3:16).

Look if you do not want to partake of the true bread of life which endures forever. That’s on you. Again don’t blame me. Your giving me no reason to come to you you give me passages out of context that contradict all the verses I gave
As I informed you earlier – I partake of the Bread of Life by consuming His flesh and blood as He instructed (John 6:53-58).
Again resolve the contradiction or you have nothing
There is NO contradiction. Just YOUR refusal to see CONTEXT . . .

Yes those who have faith do works

Again show me works in gospel passages or we are done
