Today our pastor celebrates his 80th birthday.
He'll be retiring soon.
We have a celebration with him tonight.
In this morning's bulletin, a very nice poem was put into it.
I want to share it with you all.
He's just a smalltown kind of preacher
Yes, the call was loud and clear...
Preach the Gospel to every creature
And the Lord clearly placed him here.
For him no TV glamour, and he's not in the healing scene.
No makeup, no lights and cameras
No body guards or limousines.
His churches are always growing
And has needs he can help fill
He takes comfort just in knowing
That he abides in God's will.
And when he's called to glory
And his body to the sod
He won't make the nightly news story..
But he's a faithful servant of God.
