This is very serious, because some of you are under the Old Covenant of laws, rules and religion. To be under the Old Covenant of laws, rules and religion is to be under the curse. Paul said, "For as many as are of the works of the law (Religion) are under the curse: for it is written, "Cursed is everyone that does not continue to do all of the things written in the book of the law" Galatians 3:10. There are over 2,000 laws in the book of the law. It would be easier to jump over the Grand Canyon than to keep the law. The law demands perfect obedience or death. This is why Paul said, "Therefore by the deeds of the law (what you do) there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin" Romans 3:20.

Under the New Covenant God's people do not live by laws, rules or religion, instead they live by faith in Christ and his Gospel. Paul said, "The just shall live by faith" Romans 1:17. If you are not living by faith in Christ's and his Gospel God is very angry with you. "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness" Romans 1:18. To be under the Old Covenant of laws, rules and religion is to hold the truth in unrighteousness.

Under the New Covenant God's people are justified by faith alone, Romans 4:5. We are justified by faith alone, because we are justified by Christ alone. "To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus" Romans 3:26. We are justified by Jesus and not by works or our obedience to the law. Some of you are trying to be justified by your works. God does not accept the works of sinners, which we are all one of. If God accepted the works of sinners that would make him a sinner. God only accepts the works and the obedience of Jesus Christ we are accepted only in him and because of him.

Under the New Covenant God sees his people as perfect and complete "In Christ". Colossians 2:10. We have been perfected by the doing and the dying of Jesus and not by anything that we do or have become. This righteousness is reserved for us in heaven, we don't have it yet. Peter said, "To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, that will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you" 1 Peter 1:4.

I'm sure you have faith in Jesus, but you didn't explain His gospel. What do you think His gospel does in us? I'll give you a hint. you quoted Romans 1:17-18. Go back one verse to 16.

We are not saved by what the Gospel does in us. Our salvation took place over 2,000 years ago because of what Jesus did for us. In Jesus Christ we have been justified, sanctified and redeemed, 1 Corinthians 1:30, and now stand before God's Holy Court as perfect and complete in him, Colossians 2:10. Yes, the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation for those that believe it. Unfortunately, not many believe it.

What does it mean to be sanctified? Are you becoming a different person in your walk with Christ? Are you not doing things that you formerly did? What types of things?

Some believe being sanctified means being set apart for good works. Others believe it means being made righteous by removing lawless sin. I believe both are true. When we repent Jesus takes away our desire to commit lawless sin which is the breaking of God's Ten Commandments. It happens at the same moment we are born again of the Spirit and justified. All our sin in our nature, which is the source, is removed and we are a new creature in Christ by the power of God. We are no longer deemed sinners, but clean. 1 John 3:1, and John 15:3.

Beware of doctrines of demons who twist God's word and interpret it by their own experience of still wanting to sin. But there are two types of sin. More than likely if they believe in Jesus they have also been cleansed of lawlessness and would never even think of murdering someone. That type of sin is removed out of our nature. They were sins unto death 1 John 5:16-17. Then if we read God's word and learn of imperfectness as we abide in Christ, He prunes the fruit of the Spirit so it takes root and grows. This is where many get stunted in our walk and they let their fruit grow rotten or do not produce fruit at all. Jesus warns they will be cut off and burned. John 15:1-4; 2 Peter 1:5-9. Matthew 7:19-21

John 17
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy TRUTH: thy WORD IS TRUTH.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

1 John 2:5
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

2 Thessalonians 2:13 -
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth :

2 Timothy 2:21 - If a man therefore purge himself from these,he shall be a vessel until honour, sanctified and meet for the Master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 -
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are sanctified as we grow in our discipleship after salvation.
It is by the study of the word of God and applying his standards and commandments to our lives, forsaking the flesh, crucified with Christ and living in the Spirit.
An act between man and God in a working relationship to become a vessel of honour.

What does it mean to be sanctified? Are you becoming a different person in your walk with Christ? Are you not doing things that you formerly did? What types of things?

When a person hears the "Gospel", as, "faith comes by hearing" ... then this faith is proof something happened in the heart of the Believer that God SEES... as "God sees the heart"
And what is that, that God sees that has happened inside you?

God sees your "repentance" ....that is of the kind that God accepts, and that is not repenting from sin....but its repenting from UNBELIEF.

See, God is not looking for people who are willing to "clean up"... as "Jesus came into the world to save SINNERS"

See that Reader?

God is looking for FAITH IN CHRIST...and then God will clean you ............So, God is looking for FAITH.....as that proves you have repented from your UNBELIEF.... and God takes that FAITH, and accepts that one time FAITH forever..... and then He does this...

A.) He takes ALL your sin, and puts it on Jesus,

"God hath made Jesus to be SIN for us".... = as if Jesus is YOU THE SINNER, and then Christ dies on the Cross, for ALL YOUR SIN..

and then,,.

God takes that Righteous LIFE that Jesus LIVED.. and God gives it to you... "imputs it".. ."charges it to you", as if you lived it all your life.

This is to become "a New Creation, In Christ".

See that?
That is : SALVATiON....

Its Jesus becoming our wrong and our sin, and us, = through God's Grace.... God gives us His own RIGHTEOUSNESS, as if we were always righteous, and will always be.. RIGHTEOUS. = to become BORN AGAIN.

This is the "imputed righteousness" that God gives you the INSTANT you trusted in Christ, and you remain "made righteous".. having become "the righteousness of God, in Christ".... = FOREVER.

Welcome to : Salvation

Its a "GIFT".

Eternal Salvation through Christ, requires Faith..

Notice that You can't see Jesus on the Cross.
Notice....You can't even see your sin when it was in your heart.

Yet God resolves those 2.....TOGETHER...... as "the Gift of Salvation"....and its eternal.

God actually sent The Gift of Life, the Bread come down from heaven, The Virgin Born SON..... into this evil PIT, this SEWER of a world of humanity, so that by the Cross of Christ... .. .Through the Cleansing Blood of Jesus......we, who were all lifetime sinners, can come to God simply by FAITH, and God will take that Faith, and accept that faith one time, and God will give you """the GIFT of Salvation, and the GIFT of Righteousness.""""

A wretched sinner comes to God, giving God their Faith, and God gives them, Eternal Life. God gives them a Spiritual Birth... God gives them a new heart. God gives them FORGIVENESS of ALL sin for ALL TIME.... God gives them Heaven.. God gives them eternal access to All that God has, and All that God is.. and all that God can DO..

And ALL THIS and more.... is given ...FREELY GIVEN..,= just because a SINNER believes in Jesus, in their heart.

This is so amazing, but that is how Amazing Grace is given.

This is the mercy of God and its indescribable.
It miraculous, its wonderful, its beautiful, and its ETERNAL.

The born again, came to God in their Sin,.....BELIEVING IN JESUS>.... and God instantly makes them a SAINT, a Joint Heir with Jesus, and and Heir of God.... A "Son/Daughter" of God. = born again.

Welcome : To Salvation.

Its a : GIFT

There are two different sanctifications. We are spiritually sanctified when we accept Christ as our savior. God spiritually places us in Christ, Colossians 3:3. And then there is our personal sanctification where we set ourselves aside as Christians to be a witness for Jesus Christ and his Gospel, Ephesians 2:10.

Paul wrote, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things have passed away; behold all things have become new" 2 Corinthians 5:17. The old things that have passed away are the old man that was crucified with Christ, Romans 6:6. If we are now new creations in Jesus Christ, we should act like it. Put away the things of the flesh and embrace the things of the Spirit.
