Let's remind everyone what it means to not sin and this is just what I saw there is probably more:

Matthew 25:35-40

New King James Version

35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Revelation 21:8-10

King James Version

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
lots of folks can give to the poor and yet still love thier sin . i suggest we dont forget that either .

I frequently hear people say that it is impossible not to sin. I know we’ve all sinned but I don’t know why we can’t stop.
By definition genuine regenerated children of God have TURNED AWAY from sins and idols. Nonetheless, while God gives the born again Christian a new heart and a new spirit, He does not automatically erase the old Adamic sin nature which is called "the flesh". So it is possible for a Christian to sin, but "sin shall NOT have dominion over you".

If you keep your focus on righteousness and good works, and particularly on God and Christ, then you can avoid falling into sin. But you cannot claim to be sinlessly perfect (like 1stCenturyLady).

You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48 RSV

I frequently hear people say that it is impossible not to sin. I know we’ve all sinned but I don’t know why we can’t stop.
You know who says this the most?

Mainstream pastors and preachers on TV, radio and in churches of all denominations.

A woeful shame.

In context Jesus wasn't saying we are to be morally excellent, rather, that we are to love others equally as God does.

Much love!
Wrong.

And God doesn't need you to translate what He makes very clear in His Word.

I’ll say it again —— let me talk to her husband.....after two minutes we’ll find out how “ perfect” she is.....lol.....
Where did you say it the first time?

You certainly shouldn't have repeated such an ugly thing to say on a Christian Discussion Forum.

Technically, sin is the breaking of the Commandments of God per 1 John 3:4.

What you've listed are descriptions of how every Christian should act 'IF' they actually have the Holy Spirit living inside them.

Oh, but she DID answer you, if only by implication.

But then, who wants to just come out and say, "I've stopped from ALL works of flesh!" Who?

Much love!
You try to shame people into believing they can't live up to God's Commandments.

YOU are the one that is shameful.

God commands that we strive for perfection, that we emulate His Son and walk just as He did. If that's not of interest to you, speak for yourself.

Every Christian who loves Jesus and has His Spirit is 100% capable of leaving ANY and ALL sin in their past. If you cannot, that is an indication of YOUR sincerity in the faith. Not others'.

Is that correct? Did you read the surrounding scriptures? People that don't do that are cast into the lake of fire, indicating to not do them is sin/death.

If A: People who do not have the Holy Spirit will be destroyed/cast into the lake of fire,

And B: People who don't do the things you listed do not have the Holy Spirit,

Then C: People who don't do those things will be destroyed/cast into the lake of fire.

But 'sin' is defined as Lawlessness, the breaking of the Commandments of God per 1 John 3:4.

I don't know about claiming to be "sinlessly perfect", that is kinda God/Jesus' department.

But living a sinless life is not nearly as difficult as most Christians have been brainwashed to believe.

You must account for James 3:2 to understand exactly how it works. All Christians 'stumble', and James used the term 'offend.'

Who is being offended when we sin? Yes, God, of course, but specifically His Spirit that lives within us. He convicts us in our hearts when we sin and it causes great emotional and spiritual discomfort until it is addressed, confessed/repented of and put away for good.

Every single Commandment can be kept via the Holy Spirit's assistance. That is one of the most important reasons Jesus sent Him into our hearts. That and the discernment of His Word and spiritual things.

My issue is with the person who declares others evil if they commit a sin, all the while falsely declaring their own sinlessness.

Setting up a false standard discourages others, and promotes legalistic living.

Striving for perfection? Or, Learn of Me . . . ? Trust that Jesus is making you to be like Him, and live accordingly.

To anyone who says that they cannot "not sin", I say, for one minute, focus yourself on God's presence, His love for you, His care for you. Pray, sing a song, read a verse. For one minute, fill your mind with Him and you will not sin. Now, repeat. And as you continue to repeat, understand you can practice that same mental discipline throughout your day, as you trust in Him for all that you can't do.

Much love!

You said perfection has nothing to do with morals. Where is THAT in Scripture?
Where did I say that? I did not say that.

Please show where I said that, or admit that it's not true.

How about that?

Much love!

No one lives without sin. No one is perfect either.

1 John 1:8

King James Version

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

God gave teachers to the church. I'm not saying I'm one of those, only, God does actually use people to show the meaning of His Word. Like in Ezra.

In this instance, the "completeness", or "maturity", or "consumation", or "perfection" is not speaking towards God's holiness in general, it's speaking there of the all encompassing reach of God's love. Don't just love those who love you, but love your enemies also, just like God does.

Much love!
