PETER AND PAUL ON BAPTISMS AND THE HOLY GHOST

Peter and Paul preached differently on Baptisms and the Holy Ghost.
Peter and Paul had different ministries because God has different means to reconcile heaven and earth. Peter and Paul would have different purposes and teachings in light of this. However, we can learn from Peter while knowing that not everything he preached and instructed was not directed for us, the body of Christ.

BAPTISMS:

The twelve and Jesus preached salvation upon baptism (Acts 2:38 Mark 16:16)

[Act 2:38 KJV] 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

[Mark 16:16 KJV] 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Paul was not sent to baptize (1 Corinthians 1:17)

[1Co 1:17 KJV] 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Baptism therefore could not be part of Paul's gospel as it was to Jesus and the twelve.

THE HOLY GHOST:

The twelve preached the receiving of the Holy Ghost upon baptism (Acts 2:38).

[Act 2:38 KJV] 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Let me take this opportunity to say I was taught that we are to be baptized in water because our sins have been remitted, forgiven.
On the contrary Peter commanded water baptism to forgive their sins.

Paul preached that the Holy Ghost was received upon belief (Ephesians 1:13 1 Corinthians 6:19).

[Eph 1:13 KJV] 13 In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

[1Co 6:19 KJV] 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Harmonizing the teaching and preaching of Peter and Paul is what I would teach newbies.

“I beg you brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I beg that all of you agree with each other, so that you will not be divided into groups.”

(1 Corinthians 1:10, ICB)

Pitting Paul against Peter (or against Jesus, and / or against the other apostles) does the very thing that Paul himself implores his readers not to do.

“I beg that you be completely joined together by having the same kind of thinking and the same purpose. My brothers, some people from Cloe’s family have told me that there are arguments among you. Thus is what I mean: One of you says, ‘I follow Paul’, another says, ‘I follow Apollos’; another says, ‘I follow Peter’; and another says ‘I follow Christ.’ Christ cannot be divided into different groups!”

(1 Corinthians 1:10-13)

Dispensationalism divides Christ into different groups. Newbies, Paul would not approve of what dispensationalism does. The fruit it produces isn’t good.
