How could the universe not have a cause?Well, this was short lived, she hasn't posted anything since June. To make a thread only to disappear shortly afterward seems like a waste of time. If the six day creation account has no cause, then where does that leave God? You don't need God if the universe and all life has no cause, because if it has no cause, then it has no creator, which henceforth means there is no God, and it seems like most don't even realize this. This is the only real conclusion one can get out of this, the implications are far reaching. It discredits the God of the Bible, and with that being the case, I might as well denounce my faith and worship Brahma, since there are certain sects within Hinduism that teach an eternal, cyclical, never ending universe without a real cause................. Perhaps she should have questioned this 'someone', this 'persons' religions affiliation that proposed this idea to her. Hot diggity damn, how convenient would it be for the secular, pantheistic, evolutionists if it were "proven" some day that the universe has no real cause. The very first words "In the beginning" from the Bible would no longer suffice, forever discredited in the eyes of the world as the mere ramblings of a Jesus freak..........

EVERYTHING has a first cause.
What made everything come into being if not God?
Things made themselves?
Some scientists, worried that - Gee - maybe God DID make everything, are not investigating that NOTHING could really be SOMETHING. How desperate could a person get??
They've always said that something could not come of nothing, so now what? If it's proven that the universe had a beginning. (the big bang).
First Mr. Scientist said that the universe always existed. Then science discovered that, NO, it DID have a beginning.
That was problem never one -- they've never even proven how it began. Can't get beyond that last second before the big bang.
But they've always said that something could not come from nothing.
Now they've confirmed that it DID have a beginning.
Now what?
Now we have to prove that yes, something could come of nothing.
Interesting stuff.
