It's not for everyone.Mrs waiting hasn’t as far as I know ever had the desire for one?
While over here in North America, women - before it became a mainstream and benign thing to do (and maybe your daughter thinks this way also?) - generally used to shy away from getting tattooed, when it was more typically a man thing or a radical 'alternative' thing to do, now it's so prevalent that even more women use tattoo parlors over here than men do, apparently according to statistics.
Which also at least in theory greatly increases the scope for faith based designs.
Over here also some parlors even seem to expect to cater mainly for the more mature tattoo (esp. female?) wearers.
It's really become a custom on a par with the double pierced ears which came in around 40 years ago (although your wife might also shy away from those also?)
But it's not for everyone.
