In remote countries where there is inbreeding it has caused serious birth defects. It seems the genes need to be branched out.

Is Vegetarianism Sin?

†.
Gen 9:1-4 . . Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them: Be
fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. The fear and dread of you
will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon
every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the
sea; they are given into your hands. Everything that lives and moves will be
food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.

Blessings should never be construed as mandates and/or commandments. In
other words: God gave Noah and his sons the green light to eat meat, but
He didn't say they had to.

†. Rom 14:2-3 . . One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another
man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats
everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does
not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has
accepted him.

FYI: Prior to the Flood, humans were vegetarians. Afterwards; they were
given permission to become omnivorous. People are often curious about
that.

According to an article in the Dec 10, 2013 Science section of the New York
Times, scientists believe that the early human body was able to manufacture
all of its own essential vitamins; but over time gradually lost the ability to
manufacture all but K and D.

That seems plausible to me seeing as how Noah lived to be 950 years old,
but by the time of Abraham, the human life span had decreased
considerably to 175; which the Bible describes as a ripe old age (Gen 25:7
8). Well, Noah at 175 was about equivalent to Abraham at 32; so the human
body was obviously a whole lot stronger back in Noah's day than it was in
Abraham's.

Apparently the inclusion of meat in Man's diet after the Flood was intended
primarily as a source of natural supplements to make up for the human
body's gradually lessening ability to manufacture all it's own essential
vitamins; much the same reason that modern vegans resort to synthetic
supplements in order to avoid contracting deficiency diseases.

People subsisting on vegan diets, such as many of the people of India, often
eat lots of minute insect eggs along with their fruits and vegetables without
knowing it, thus providing themselves with a number of essential nutrients
that most everyone else obtains by deliberately eating animal products. It's
kind of humorous that in their care to avoid meat they end up eating bugs.

What Is A Spiritual Body?

I'm going to deliberately misquote 1Cor 15:44. Watch for the changes.

"It is sown a solid body; it is raised a spirit body. There is a solid body, and
there is a spirit body."

I did it like that to bring out the point that the koiné Greek word for
"spiritual" is ambiguous; viz: it doesn't always indicate spirit. Below is a list
of spiritual things that bear absolutely no resemblance whatsoever to things
consisting of spirit.

spiritual gifts (Rom 1:11)
spiritual law (Rom 7:14)
spiritual things (Rom 15:27)
spiritual people (1Cor 2:15)
spiritual nourishment (1Cor 10:3)
spiritual water (1Cor 10:4)
spiritual rock (1Cor 10:4)
spiritual blessings (Eph 1:3)
spiritual music (Eph 5:19)
spiritual understanding (Col 1:9)
spiritual housing (1Pet 2:5)
spiritual sacrifices (1Pet 2:5)

So, with all that under our belts; I propose that we paraphrase 1Cor 15:44
to read as follows:

"It is sown a normal body, it is raised up a superhuman body. There is a
natural body, and there is a supernatural body."

That works for me because "supernatural" implies a human body similar in
some respects to the man of steel popularly known at Comic Con as
Superman. The heroic figure from the planet Krypton isn't constructed of
spirit; but rather; of some sort of indestructible tissue. It looks like ordinary
human tissue; but in his case, appearances can be deceiving.

I sincerely believe that the spiritual body spoken of at 1Cor 15:44 is in no
way composed of spirit. Of what material it is composed I don't know; but I
do know at least three things about it. One is that the material is totally
unknown to modern physics, and two; it's living tissue, and the third is that
it's impervious to death and putrefaction.

Christ's resurrected body is capable of imbibing ordinary beverages.

†. Matt 26:29 . . I tell you: I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now
on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom.

His resurrected body is also capable of dining upon ordinary foods.

†. Luke 22:15-16 . . I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you
before I suffer. For I tell you: I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in
the kingdom of God.

I'm pretty sure that if you were to pour a glass of wine and/or put some
lamb in a spirit's mouth, it would all just fall to ground because spirit lacks
mass; viz: it has no substance.

According to the Bible, Christ's followers will all one day have a body just
like his.

†. Php 3:20-21 . . The Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables
him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so
that they will be like his glorious body.

Well then; seeing as how the Lord Jesus Christ's glorious body is a solid
body, then I fully expect to get a solid body too.

FYI: the Watch Tower Society (a.k.a. Jehovah's Witnesses) insists that
Christ's solid human body isn't really a human body at all: it's what we know
in modern movie technology as an avatar. (chuckle) You gotta admire the
Society's ability to stretch its imagination.

What's With The Seal?

†.
Eph 4:30 . . Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were
sealed for the day of redemption.

According to Eph 1:12-14, the Holy Spirit serves two purposes.

First off, the Holy Spirit himself is the seal; which is from the koiné Greek
word sphragizo (sfrag-id'-zo). The word has no reference whatsoever to a
zip lock bag, or a strip of tape, or a gasket, or that little widget that the
power company clips onto electric meters, or a cork, or a bottle cap, or a
label, or a tag, or the lid on a jar, or glue, or the ring of bee's wax that goes
in between the base of a toilet and the flange of the soil pipe it drains into.

Sphragizo refers to the impression that's made upon wax with a signet ring.
In other words: the Holy Spirit is God's own personal signature on the dotted
line; and it serves a very important purpose.

The Holy Spirit is also the "earnest" of a believer's inheritance. Let me
explain.

The koiné Greek word is arrhabon (ar-hrab-ohn') which refers to a pledge;
viz: part of the purchase-money or property given in advance as security for
the rest.

When I bought my home, I had to submit, along with the escrow papers, an
amount of money called a "good-faith" deposit. In the event that my wife
and I backed out of the deal, for any reason at all; we would've forfeited our
good-faith deposit. That's no doubt an incentive to make sure people mean
business about buying a home.

Eph 1:12-14 explains a difficult spiritual truth by putting it into a context
easy to understand by anyone familiar with the process of buying a home.
Another context, also easy to understand, is located in the 38th chapter of
Genesis.

Long story short, Judah left his staff and signet with Tamar as a pledge that
he would pay her with a young goat as compensation for sleeping with him
(Gen 38:18). The Hebrew word for Judah's pledge is 'arabown (ar-aw-bone')
which is equivalent to the Greek word for "earnest" in Eph 1:14.

Well; Judah was unable to make good on his promise because Tamar took a
powder. So his response was:

"Let her keep what she has or we will become a disgrace." (Gen 38:23)

You bet your bippy they would have been a disgrace because until such a
time as Judah paid Tamar what he promised; she had a legitimate right to
keep his staff and his signet because that's the way an 'arabown works.

Bottom line is: at this point in the plan of salvation, should God not spare a
believer's soul from the sum of all fears; then He has to forfeit the Holy
Spirit. In other words: should a believer end up in hell, they get to keep the
Holy Spirit and take Him down there with them because that's the way the
arrhabon and the 'arabown work; and believers have God's signature holding
Him to it.

According to Eph 1:12-14, the information in this section pertains to
believers only. Anyone else will of course quite naturally think it's all a big
joke and/or spin a way around it.

How People Will Stay In Heaven

Back in 1968, I lived alone for a while in the daylight basement of a family
home in Oregon. The solitude afforded me plenty of free time to think about
the afterlife; and one of my biggest concerns was of course that of ending
up in hell.

I reasoned that it would be a whole lots easier to stay out of hell if only
complying with the Ten Commandments were second nature rather than
such an effort of will power and self denial. Well; in time I found out that
there really is such a thing as a second nature.

"Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him;
and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God." (1John 3:9)

That is quite remarkable; and one of the supernatural aspects of Christianity
that gets very little press these days. That which is born of the Spirit as per
John 3:3-8 is not only 110% sinless, but it cannot sin; the reason given is
that it takes after its Father, who, according Jas 1:13, is impervious to
temptation; and within whom, according to 1John 1:5, there is no darkness.

In a nutshell: There is now in my possession a divine nature and a human
nature. The divine nature was born of the Spirit as per John 3:3-8 and is
suitable for life in the kingdom of God, while the human nature was born of
man and is unsuitable for life in the kingdom of God.

Though I came into existence with human nature; I'm not stuck with it. No
according to Col 2:11, it's been somehow miraculously amputated from my
existence by the hand of God so that I will go into the kingdom with only
divine nature; ergo: I won't have any sins to confess in the kingdom
because my divine nature will never, ever, compel me to commit any; which
means, of course, that I will never be kicked out.

Is the divine nature a pipe dream? Well; Peter didn't seem to think so.

†. 2Pet 1:3-5 . . His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to
life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His
own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious
and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become
partakers of the divine nature

WH,
Okay, I'll ask. Are you implying that you cannot sin because of being born again in Christ or are you saying that your sins, present and future, are not going to be brought up at judgment? The reason I ask is because there was a former member on here that brought the same thing up and I wanted to see another take on it.

BA,
Only those who accept the KJV as inerrant will have this POV. This is a common misconception with those who only accept the KJV. I suggest you read the NIV or any other modern English versions like NASB, ESV, ISV, LEB, MEV, NET, NLT, and MOUNCE.
It also helps, even in the KJV, to read 1 John 2:1 to see that believers can and do sin. The overall context of God's word is needed, and not just ONE verse of scripture.

Female Pastors, Preachers, and Teachers

If it wasn't so sad, it would almost be humorous to watch people quote
Paul's writings as proof texts to refute Paul's writings; viz: Paul vs Paul.
(chuckle) The clash of the titans; except that in this case, the titans clashing
with each other are both Paul. Here's what I mean:

†. Gal 3:28 . . There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor
free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

That's a favorite proof text amongst the equality faction. But the apostle of
Jesus Christ who wrote Gal 3:28 is the same apostle of Jesus Christ who
wrote the passages below:

†. 1Cor 11:3 . . But I would have you know, that the head of every man is
Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is
God.

†. 1Tim 2:11-12 . . Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I
suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be
in silence.

†. 1Cor 14:34-35 . . Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is
not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under
obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask
their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

One of Paul's reasons for prohibiting Christians women leading Christian men
is primogeniture.

†. 1Tim 2:13 . . For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

Christian women who dare leading Christian men, are rebels who have taken
it upon themselves to overrule the principle of primogeniture; and thus
obtain their positions not by divine authority, but rather by "usurping"
authority. The koiné Greek word is authenteo (ow-then-teh'-o) which means
to act of oneself; viz: to dominate. In a nutshell, authenteo simply means to
be head-strong.

The conduct of head-strong Christian women is no better than that of pagan
heathens.

†. 1Sam 15:22-23 . . Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and
sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than
sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of
witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.

Another reason is that it puts Christian women in position to ruin Christian
men very similar to how Eve ruined Adam.

†. 1Tim 2:14 . . Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was
deceived and became a sinner.

In her deceived condition; Eve talked Adam into following her lead.

†. Gen 3:17 . .You listened to your wife

I seriously doubt that Eve deliberately set out to ruin Adam. I believe she
inadvertently ruined him. In other words; hers was what we might call an
honest mistake because she was in a deceived state of mind.

That's the very same mental condition of Christian women leading Christian
men. They have been deceived into sincerely believing that they are doing
nothing wrong. Well; the result is the very same result as before: Christian
men who permit themselves to be led by Christian women, end up
disobeying Christ just as Adam disobeyed God; because Paul's rules are
Christ's rules.

†. 1Cor 14:37 . . If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let
him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the
commandments of The Lord.

†. 1Ths 4:1-2 . .We beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord
Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please
God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments
we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

Though they cannot see it because of their deceived mental state: Christian
women leading Christian men; are Christ's enemies rather than his allies.

†. John 15:14 . .You are my friends if you do as I wish.

And they're disloyal too.

†. John 14:15 . . If you love me, you will comply with what I command.

†. John 14:21 . .Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one
who loves me.

†. John 14:23-24 . . If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching . . He who
does not love me will not obey my teaching.

Word To The Wise: According to 1Cor 3:9-15 there are rewards to earn.
Well; according to 2Tim 2:5, nobody is getting one unless they play by the
rules; and in this matter, the rules for Christian conduct are what Christ says
they are.

Q: What about Deborah? God appointed her to lead men. (Jdgs 4:4-5:31)

A: Sophists are fond of pointing to Old Testament female luminaries like
Deborah to justify Christian women leading Christian men. But they need to
wake up and get their bearings. Deborah wasn't a Christian; and besides:
she lived in the Old Testament era. That ship has sailed and we today live in
the New Testament era-- an era where Christ's wishes reign supreme. Male
leadership may not be ideal; but the bottom line is: males are Christ's
gender of choice; and it is his Father's wishes that believers follow His son's
lead.

†. Matt 17:5 . .Behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and behold, a
voice out of the cloud, saying: This is My beloved son, with whom I am well
pleased: Listen to him!

†. John 3:36 . . He who does not obey The Son shall not see life, but the
wrath of God abides on him.

You know why the issue of Christian women leading Christian men is so
controversial? It's because far more Christians are worldly than heavenly;
they're living the Christian life according to the standards of their culture,
and according to their feelings, instead of according to Christ's rules; viz:
they're carnal instead of spiritual; and apparently content to be that way.

Nothing brings out a female's fallen nature like a gender issue. Only a truly
Spirit-filled woman is at peace with male supremacy. The rest are
perpetually chafed by it because they are ruled by the flesh instead of the
Spirit.

†. Rom 8:5-8 . .Those who live according to the sinful nature have their
minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with
the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful
man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the
sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do
so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

Christianity isn't everyone's cup of tea. If people find Christ's rules of
conduct too strict, too old fashioned and/or too contrary to their culture,
then maybe they ought to take up something else, like maybe Buddhism or
Yoga meditation. But one thing no one should do is take up Christianity with
the thought of reforming it. You see, that would be the sin of heresy, which
is a sin that merits ostracizing.

†. Rom 16:17 . .Watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles
in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away
from them.

†. Titus 3:10-11 . . Reject a divisive person after the first and second
admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self
condemned.

Had Eve stuck to her guns and repeated God's prohibition against eating the
fruit every time the Serpent tried to influence her thinking; she would not
have been so easily defeated. Eve's fatal error was in letting the Serpent pull
her away from God's prohibition. I have made up mind not to duplicate her
error by letting people pull me away from Paul's prohibitions seeing as how
according to 1Cor 14:37 and 1Ths 4:1-2, Paul's prohibitions are Christ's
prohibitions.

†. 1Cor 16:13 . . Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of
courage; be strong.

†. Eph 6:16-17 . .Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

†. 1Pet 5:8-9 . . Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the Devil prowls
around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him,
standing firm in the faith

†. Jas 4:7 . . Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.

The Last Resort

If after reading all the posts you're still not sure about female pastors,
preachers, and teachers; I suggest playing it safe; viz: if you don't know:
don't.

†. Rom 14:22-23 . . Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he
approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is
not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.

As Ephesians 4:11 does NOT qualify the offices Christ gave to the church by gender, I can't see why ANYONE would attempt to do so.

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,

We know for a fact that prophets and evangelists and teachers were female, and as Paul says NOWHERE that pastors cannot be female, it's pretty clear it is NOT a problem if they are. As Apostles were only appointed by Jesus, that was His choice so I won't bother to speculate on an office that is no longer relevant, nor IMO existent.

Its creation of earth or creation of the stars and things which are not the same timimg. Many will say God has aways been, that is true but when they speak they think man was created when Adam was and not other worlds before us other words we are all he created, so when God speaks from one thing to the next how much time. If you say 24 hours maybe God had the earth spinning at a rate of 8 hour day or maybe less or maybe has not turn for a millon years. Next is, what is prophecy in the word and truth or both true. For the Spirit is prophecy. The third day Christ came this is the great light. Next is What is truth, all some maybe none or what has been sowed between the Word. Divorce is something, we know what Christ said about this, Sacrifice, God said he never instructed them in this but yet they would kill another thing for sin instead of turning from it.

Sorry multi-tasking again its the forth day that Christ came, that great light that rules over the children of light and at that same time exposed satan and whom he is, and he rules over darkness. Christ has said I AM THE LIGHT walk in him and not darkness. If you will study not only Christ's word's and the Father's word's then every word in creation of Genesis is prophecy but not only prophecy. The forth day over two thousand years ago, now we are in the last day. The Sabbath is comming when the children of light fill the heaven's and hell is inlarged. You must be born of the Spirit not of the flesh. This world is satans and flesh seek Christ words.
