If the poor dog is helping loudly and then whining, that's abuse.

Like a used humans , abused animals will suffer and then seem find and attentive to their abuser. As if they behave "right" their abuser won't have cause to hurt them anymore.

One sign of chronic abuse is if you, someone not the abuser, approaches the dog and speaks gently and moving slowly.

If the dog already has their tail between their legs, or puts their tail between their legs in approach, and cowers, that's a sign of abuse.

I'm not sure that is an option for me as he would surely know it was me. He appears to be crazy and armed and dangerous.
I try to keep my distance from the neighbor. He has a machete he keeps in his apartment.
Thank you for reminding me why I got a Concealed Carry permit. Those kind of people are out there. :confused:

I do say prayers for dogs, though.

I haven't seen the dog or the roomate in a few days so I think he moved out and took the dog with him. Thanks for your prayers.
