It would be nice if all western nations benefit; the problem is, Donald Trump isn't in the business of doing what benefits anyone else but himself.
All the western powers are very dependent on US for security and military support, and advanced technologies, and always likely will be as a counter to Russia, Iran, China, N Korea, etc... We have defended Canada and Mexico too just by existing as a super power being direct neighbors. If the USA was not so strong, Russia and China would have taken over the world. We are the counter balance force.

It's important that the USA will give security to Greenland which also strengthens our border. Otherwise Russia or China would be happy to move in.

Actually the American Empire is sliding down the hill rapidly.
Respect for the US is nowhere to be found among western nations.
It will only change when Trump is gone.
It's not a matter of Republican OR Democrat power.
It's a matter of decency.
In 2 more years, Trump can no longer be a 'king' as he will no longer POTUS.
All POTUS's setup their own rules, appoint whom they want, and pursue their own administrations policies.
In one year he will be viewed as a 'lame duck', like all others before him.
I would be more inclined to think an AC would come from the godless democrat communists.

You're buying Trump's propaganda, as usual. The US forces have been allowed to operate in Greenland since 1951. So your statement is moot. Trump wants control of everything. THAT is the only reason he is moving to take everything. Don't be surprised if Greenlanders come under attack. I'm sure that eas the reason for this "deal" bc Trump already said he would have it ...just like Gaza. If he wants something, he will kill and pillage to get it.
Trump stated in an address during his campaign that he'll "fix it" and he just needed to get into office one more time. He has made bold statements about his plans to remain in office. He has said he will either run for a third term, or become the next Israeli Prime Minister. He may move into some hybrid combination of those positions. Why the move to merge the US and Israeli militaries? I'm not saying I know what it'll look like, but don't count your chickens just yet.

The "peace" president, with Bible in hand, bombed Houthi targets for more than 50 days last year and struck more than 1,000 targets.
The Houthis survived it, kept firing and have since rebuilt much of their capability.
Trump is now considering renewed fighting, that is...maybe it already has started, who knows with the news reporters kicked out of the oval office.
This could could threaten the straight Bab el-Mandeb while Hormuz remains unstable.
Be prepared to pay more for gas and diesel, which results in higher grocery cost.
