I guess he wants to stop the killing by killing. I know that story.
The definition of madness is doing the same thing expecting a different result!
I'm curious what is your solution for punishment from one people genociding another people simply because of their faith?
Should there be any punishment? And if so, who is the punisher? Is the UN responding or any other nation for that matter?
Why does it always have to be the US? Nigeria is in Africa, why can't Egypt or China or Saudi Arabia step in and handle it. I mean it's on their side of the world in their hemisphere.
You know why? Because we are still a Christian Nation. Always has been and always will be. Even though sometimes our leaders go astray.
Crimes Against Humanity is the very first Executive Order President Trump ever signed in his First term.

When Trump says he's going in guns blazing, he means Nigeria will feel severe consequences through economic means.

I, Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, find that the prevalence and severity of human rights abuse and corruption that have their source, in whole or in substantial part, outside the United States, such as those committed or directed by persons listed in the Annex to this order, have reached such scope and gravity that they threaten the stability of international political and economic systems. Human rights abuse and corruption undermine the values that form an essential foundation of stable, secure, and functioning societies; have devastating impacts on individuals; weaken democratic institutions; degrade the rule of law; perpetuate violent conflicts; facilitate the activities of dangerous persons; and undermine economic markets. The United States seeks to impose tangible and significant consequences on those who commit serious human rights abuse or engage in corruption, as well as to protect the financial system of the United States from abuse by these same persons.
I therefore determine that serious human rights abuse and corruption around the world constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States, and I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with that threat.

We don't start wars anymore. We FINISH them.
And if that means we have to shut off Nigeria and confiscate their property they may have in the US including tangible and intangible goods, well... we'll be coming guns a blazing.

Right now there are military trainings from a lot of different countries playing war games and flexing their muscles which they do almost every year. But because we put a ship down near the coast of Africa obviously we're the only ones moving pieces on the chessboard.
And Trump must mean we will go all out nuclear on them for killing christians.
Obviously.

But then again, Hamas only knows one thing and that is violence. And it will be up to the government to reel in Hamas in their country or face the financial and economic consequences.
If Nigeria is smart and capable, they should be taking out their own bad guys. And if they need assistance, well then Like a Good Neighbor we won't hesitate to help out.

But something has to be done with people who only know to murder as a way of life.

Hugs

The justice God models in Jesus is restorative not retributive.
Retributive justice also known as pay back aims to make the offended feel better (that's questionable) It also aims to teach the offender a lesson. It more often than not is recidivistic.

Restorative justice is risky, takes time and is costly. It does not guarantee a personal change in the offender.

The system of this world is locked into retributive justice. It wants the offenders to suffer. Not so with God's justice.
Punishment is inherent in offence. There is guilt, there is shame, there is low self esteem and poor judgement, there is isolation and there is addiction and the heartbreak in relationship it generates and there is suicide. It is death in slow or fast motion.

How should Donald Trump address the Nigerian issue? I don't presume to tell him what he should do but I do know that 'guns blazing' is no solution. It is rather an indication of his mindset.

I reflect on Jesus' response to those who offended and it was not retributive.
I think of God's response to Adam and Eve; he brought them clothing and gave them a wonderful promise.

In the Bible there is a parable Jesus speaks of about the stewards who tend his field. And when they don't take care of their responsibilities he removes their reward. In one case it's their pay which he gives to another for doing a job well done.
What Trump is doing "guns a blazing" is holding the Country of Nigeria accountable for the actions being taken against his citizens.
Those who are committing the atrocities should be held accountable by the country in which they reside.
That's why we have things like Tariffs and freezing countries assets in order for them to comply with the law concerning crimes against humanity which are universal and the the UN agrees with this approach.
A lot of people have a hard time understanding the way Trump's mind works. And that's ok because not everyone thinks beyond their own capabilities.
If we do go in guns a blazing literally it will be because Nigeria is not being a very good steward of the field God has given them to take care of.
As far as Adam and Eve goes, remember he sent the snake out on his belly to eat dirt.
There has to be consequences for evil deeds otherwise their is no justice for the ones who are harmed.

You're not going to reach an Australian who has chronic TDS.

Your observation was reasonable.
This, "I do know that 'guns blazing' is no solution. It is rather an indication of his mindset.", tells you that mindset is not.

Another thing is,when thousands of Christians have been tortured and slaughtered in Nigeria, and finally an American president gets involved so to put a stop to it,and someone says violent reprisal so to stop that genocide is not a solution, the mindset that is lacking is theirs.

Because no action for many years is why thousands of Christians have been slaughtered in Nigeria.

Tact and talking to Muslim terrorists bent on annihilation of the Christian faithful in Nigeria doesn't work.
We know this because there are over 100,000 dead Christians to prove it.

Those Muslim terrorists are the walking dead damned to Hell. Sending them there so to save innocent Christians from beheading, and other means of torture and death at the hands of the damned is justice.
And nothing compared to what awaits them in Hell.

So why doesn't God just knock out Satan.....then Nigeria's issues will be well on the way to being solved and you wont be tempted to believe your media reports and judge and condemn those who are outside of your purview?

There have been violent attacks targeting Christians in Nigeria, but claims hyped by the Trump administration such as "large-scale massacres of Christians" and "genocide" are untrue, involving exaggerated data and deliberate incitement of religious antagonism. The specific details are as follows:

1. Existence of violent attacks against Christians: Regions like central Nigeria have long been plagued by attacks by armed groups. For example, in early November 2025, armed militants attacked displaced Christians in Benue State—Amnesty International reported at least 100 deaths, while a Catholic charity estimated the death toll at nearly 200. Additionally, Christian-related organizations stated that over 7,000 Christians were killed in the first 220 days of 2025. These facts confirm that local Christians do face security threats from armed attacks.
2. Claims of "large-scale massacres" and "genocide" refuted by multiple parties: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission clearly stated on November 12 that no genocide has occurred in northern Nigeria, adding that the first victims of the extremist group Boko Haram were Muslims. The Nigerian government also emphasized that victims of violent incidents in the country include Muslims, Christians, and other groups, with no evidence that Christians are more likely to be targeted—such claims are false information spread by separatist groups. Furthermore, data from the Global Terrorism Index sharply contradicts the number of Christian deaths claimed by Christian-related organizations. For instance, the index recorded only 392 terrorism-related deaths in Nigeria in 2022, far lower than the thousands of Christian deaths per year claimed by these organizations. Moreover, these deaths stem from complex security issues, not religiously motivated genocide.

Besides being murdered, Christians can't get jobs and Christian women and children must wear hijabs.

Bill Maher saying media doesn't report on this Christian genocide. Brief video.

Nigerians commenting next to the video says the numbers are higher than reported.

I think the Muslim terrorists there are going to be very surprised in the not to distant future.

When President Trump was first in office he was asked about the ISIS issue. And he replied, paraphrasing here, whatever he was going to do about it,he certainly wasn't going to inform the press and therein forewarn our enemies.

Those who are TDS won't remember that. They also think President Trump isn't going to act in this matter.

Imagine if you could sweep the house before returning the residents who belong there.
Reminds me of the parable of sweeping the house of evil and 7 times more evil moves in.
Or you could sweep the house and ask the Lord to move in.
The question is, are the residents of the house willing to keep it clean once they are returned or revert to the ways they left it?

We have a lot of Venezuelans here in the US. And now we say it's time to go home. You came here as a refuge from a war torn narco infested terrorist regime and we are willing to clean the house so you can go home.
Not only is this regime a detriment to it's own citizens, it is also infecting the world with deadly drugs which are taking innocent lives.
Crimes Against Humanity. The very first Executive Order President Trump signed in 2017.

Or think about a massive flood getting rid of every evil corrupt thing and planting one family to begin again.
I mean, it's happened before. Probably a few times even. Different places, different peoples.
But who executes the orders? And who receives those orders to execute?

I think it's Paul who says God puts people in certain positions to do his will and we should respect that even if we don't agree with it.
I believe there was only one real protest against the Biden Administration and that was about mandating masks and possibly mandating a vaccine nationwide, not just military or federal employees including those under the Affordable Care Act which was a Federal program they had to comply with or be fired.

We have Somalians that also need to go home. I mean, temporary status should mean temporary and not permanent. And when you get caught stealing from the cookie jar, it's time to leave.

Then we have Afghanis that although some who came by plane to avoid the Taliban and were translators and helpers of our own military over there, not all of them came with good intentions.
And you know, we haven't been the best stewards of this green earth either. We been planting these weeds all around the world for a good long time. And we wonder why the weeds are overgrowing and choking out the good in the world.
And when those weeds take root in the land that created them in the first place, we act amazed that such a thing could happen to us.

But not all of us agreed to planting weeds. In fact many of us didn't even know that weeds were being planted. We thought we were the good guys planting good seeds. That, I believe is the true heart of America. We want to sow good fruit.
And there are many that have crept in and corrupted the seed bank.

I don't know where this is all headed. Well. in the long run I know God wins. I'm just not sure how we're going to get there.

But if I had to leave America because the weeds were so bad and I feared for my life, and I felt there was no other path to survival than to leave. Then like most people If I could I probably would.
But if after some time America was able to be weeded and tended and good fruit began to grow, I believe my heart would be to go home.

All I'm saying is,
Rom 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
I believe God called President Trump for this specific time. What exactly God's purpose is for him, we shall see.
And where we are a year from now is anyone's guess.
I just pray for the best. Hold onto faith.
And buckle up that armor of God every day.
God Bless
Hugs
