Looks that way. The sixth seal events (including the moon turning to blood) are all for the future, which is AFTER the Great Tribulation.

That may be true right now, but the Great Tribulation and what follows are totally UNIQUE "under the sun". They have never occurred before now will they ever occur again. Please pay close attention to what Jesus said:

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be...Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: (Mt 24:21,29)

Doesn't anyone have enough sense to realize this is not talking about what we have just about all mistaken it to mean? I mean, REALLY!

If the sun stopped shining, we would all turn to ice within minutes. If even only ONE single star hit the Earth, it would explode into powder.

Are we all truly this dumb?

What they're calling the blood Moon I saw more than once as a kid growing up on a farm.

The prophetic blood Moon will be the color of blood in fact.

Well, like I said. One easy way to determine who is right and who is wrong on this matter. Talk to you in a few days....

There are different kinds and intensities of lunar eclipses.

Color and other appearances are dependent on the amount of dust in the atmosphere. So the same solar alignment causing a lunar eclipse can look totally different every time.

A few days? It would be funny if you were right. You WERE right about the ten blood moons. Friday would be 21 days since the "darkened" sun, 3 and a half days from the moon that will not give it's light. If we count inclusively. A twenty and one day delay, on account of the prince of Tyre. And after 3.5 days,

"Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them,
“Come up here!” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them.

While we wait, let's re visit Isaac Newton on Daniel 9:

"The former part of the Prophecy related to the first coming of Christ, being dated to his coming as a Prophet; this being dated to his coming to be Prince or King, seems to relate to his second coming. There, the Prophet was consummate, and the most holy anointed: here, he that was anointed comes to be Prince and to reign. For Daniel's Prophecies reach to the end of the world; and there is scarce a Prophecy in the Old Testament concerning Christ, which doth not in something or other relate to his second coming."

"This part of the Prophecy being therefore not yet fulfilled, I shall not attempt a particular interpretation of it, but content myself with observing, that as the seventy and the sixty two weeks were Jewish weeks, ending with sabbatical years; so the seven weeks are the compass of a Jubilee, and begin and end with actions proper for a Jubilee, and of the highest nature for which a Jubilee can be kept: and that since the commandment to return and to build Jerusalem, precedes the Messiah the Prince 49 years; it may perhaps come forth not from the Jews themselves, but from some other kingdom friendly to them, and precede their return from captivity, and give occasion to it."

"Thus have we in this short Prophecy, a prediction of all the main periods relating to the coming of the Messiah; the time of his birth, that of his death, that of the rejection of the Jews, the duration of the Jewish war whereby he caused the city and sanctuary to be destroyed, and the time of his second coming: and so the interpretation here given is more full and complete and adequate to the design, than if we should restrain it to his first coming only, as Interpreters usually do. We avoid also the doing violence to the language of Daniel, by taking the seven weeks and sixty two weeks for one number. Had that been Daniel's meaning, he would have said sixty and nine weeks, and not seven weeks and sixty two weeks."

    "Thus have we in this short Prophecy, a prediction of all the main periods relating to the coming of the Messiah;
    • the time of his birth,
    • that of his death,
    • that of the rejection of the Jews,
    • the duration of the Jewish war whereby he caused the city and sanctuary to be destroyed,
    • and the time of his second coming:
and so the interpretation here given is more full and complete and adequate to the design, than if we should restrain it to his first coming only, as Interpreters usually do".

"From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.'

The Old Time Jews might have accepted their Messiah. They could have redeemed the 70 weeks. In that case a second coming might not have been necessary. Embedded within it's enigmatic text, Daniel 9 had to contain a provision for two separate comings of Messiah.

And the time of His second coming.

    Seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks.

    Sixty-two weeks, and seven weeks.

A Primary Visitation, and a Secondary Visitation.

    434 years, and 49 years.

All based on decrees to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem.

    Google: 1535 decree.

    I get this Wiki page:

    Walls of Jerusalem

"In 1535, when Jerusalem was part of the Ottoman Empire, Sultan Suleiman I ordered the ruined city walls to be rebuilt.

Those walls stand as a witness today:

    Sixty-two weeks, and seven weeks.

    Until Messiah the Prince.

    62 heptads is 434 years.

    1535 + 434 = 1969

I think that i may have been corrected, by someone with a PDF in Hebrew, that the Knesset might have gave the order in September of 1968 that would set up a governmental agency to restore and to rebuild the old City of Jerusalem in 1969.

But these materials from Israel's own website will show that not only was the company established in 1969, but specifically in JANUARY 1969. I couldn't find the actual day of the month.

"The Company for the Reconstruction and Development of the Jewish Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem Ltd. is the only fully government-owned company in the Jewish Quarter (100% of its shares are held by Israel’s Ministry of Construction).

"The Company was established in the year 1969 following the liberation of Jerusalem, and it serves as an arm of the government for executing governmental policy in the Old City of Jerusalem. The Company is the primary lessee of 133 dunams of public land inside the walls of the Old City, and of another approximately 17,500 square meters outside the walls (in the City of David).

    • The Company was established in 1969 by the government of Israel.
    • The Company was established in order to rehabilitate the Jewish Quarter and develop it as a national, religious, historical and cultural site, with an emphasis on its unique character.
    • The rehabilitation of the Jewish Quarter took 16 years.

    Company Profile – General Overview

"After the Six-Day War, in April 1968 the State of Israel expropriated the Jewish Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem, an area of approximately 134 dunams including the Western Wall plaza and the buildings inside.

In July 1968, the government decided to create the Company for the Reconstruction and Development of the Jewish Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem Ltd., and in January 1969 the Company was established.

The Company was established with the purpose of developing and restoring the Jewish Quarter, which lay devastated and in ruins following the terrible damage done by the Jordanians when it fell to them in Israel’s War of Independence (1948).

Areas of activity - The Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem

    Sixty-two weeks, and seven weeks,
    Until Messiah the Prince.

434 + a Heptad of seven weeks of 49 years.

    1535 + 434 years = 1969.

    1969 + 49 years = 2018.

So with this, we are already on overtime. If nothing happens, i don't see how this plan can be pushed out for another year, another delay. Will i say in my heart that my Master is delayed? I don't know the actual Knesset day of the month in January. More blood moons in 2033-->2038 won't play with the rest of the witnesses. It must be now. I don't wish it to be , but it must be.

Isaac Newton did say that it was the "compass of a Jubilee".

Or should the 1335 come AFTER the 1290?

    Naw.

    Heptads and Tetrads,
and something borrowed and something blue.

Didn't you know that the future is in Futurism? Anyone claiming that all the prophecies have been fulfilled and that we are now in the New Heavens and the New Earth is living in Wonderland.

It was 69 weeks from the decree until the death of Jesus Christ. So your over 2000 years to late.

Who cares what Newton said? He said a lot of strange things.

The decree was made the late summer or early fall of the year 457 B.C.

That places the death of Christ at 26 or 27 A.D. and his birth at 6 or 7 BC. All of which fit the Bible narrative.

What year was Jesus Christ born?

Well, there's a blunt question. But incredibly good points. My question would be more along the lines of...how on earth does that all fit with their "literal" hermeneutic? The book says "stars will fall to earth". Thus, according to their literal interpreting scheme, they must say just that. But as you just pointed out, a star is not a rock that will leave a sizable crater on earth. A star is massively bigger than the earth and the earth would burn to a crisp before a star even made impact. So, you know...I'm not sure where that leaves them. Except probably to run to their fall back, which is "is okay to interpret symbolically when it's obviously symbolic"...but the problem with that is...who decides if it's sybolic? They do? Based upon what? Haven't they just spent a great deal of time saying that if things are symbolic in Revelation then they are always explained right after? Nothing in their system adds up. And they accuse us of twisting things like a wax nose...
Ya know...instead of counting, star gazing, newspaper reading and quoting from dead folk, how about we stick to bible verses and what the bible says about the second coming. We're more likely to be accurate that way.

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. -Matthew 24:36

Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour. -Matthew 25:13

Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. -1 Thessalonians 5:1–2

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. -2 Peter 3:10

And here you go again. Remember figurative language with a literal meaning is literal.

To this very day we call meteors in the atmosphere shooting stars.

And we all know what a rock star means literally.

You know what they say about someone who tries the same thing over and over and keeps failing? That is what you're doing.

In your thinking with your constant calling things figurative, who decides what the figurative means? Hundred people that have 150 different opinions, with none of them relevant or plausible.
That is what I'm doing. Those verses are still in the Bible and they still have to have meaning.

The rapture is unknown but the second coming is exactly 7 years later.

With everything that happens during the Tribulation Period there's no way anybody with any kind of biblical knowledge would not know what's coming when.

And the earth is not destroyed it the second coming. You're denying the MK or being amillennialist.

The reference was probably to the idea that a lot of prophecy was fulfilled in AD70.

@Enoch111 I do think that those who take an allegorical view of prophecy symbolism end up having to explain away a lot of Scripture.

Gotta keep a sharp eye on these guys, Harvest. They also keep changing "there will be great tribulation" to try to make it a specific event they call "THE Great Tribulation."
