Haven't posted here in quite a while, as I Got home today, God gave me a prophetic dream... How I know is it was vivid and awakened me with it fully entrenched in my mind. The non prophetic dreams typically leave me in a few seconds after awakening. Felt the need to share, my thoughts and interpretations are in the parentheses.
Dream:
I was at a beach, a place I had been before, a kind of beach resort town, but the place was run down, not like it was before, pristine and immaculate. For example the bottom three stairs of the hotel I was staying at had fallen off and were replaced by a gangplank to get up to the fourth step. (I Believe this was a picture of the state of the church in this day and age, our place of refuge and rest having missing steps to finding that peace that surpasses understanding at the cross, yet bottom steps had been knocked off, and fallen into disrepair. The Gangplank being a construct of a few souls who knew to overcome fear and climb had left for us if we dare.)
The second scene i found myself in a dingy casino, right out of gangster movie, with cigar smoke in the air, and a number of familiar people from my past both good and bad in my life there, and they were there to send a message to me..... after they did, one man swung a baseball bat into his hands in order to get my compliance but i knew he was not going to hit me with the Baseball bat but rather to sucker punch me with his free hand in order to instill fear into me because this is what was done before.... i knew it was coming and was prepared, having brought a tazer with me, I Tazed him before he could act, and everyone who had beat me into compliance before were shocked that i had fought back. (This dingy casino, with "familiar spirits" all who had kept me down and in compliance via fear is a picture of life in this world. They don't want you challenging the status quo, instead they want you fighting each other, These familiar spirits are also the rulers of this earth, keeping the church down, undermining the bottom steps on the road to the peace that gives us the courage to face the powers that be.... a few souls had reconstructed those steps in the form of a rickety gangplank... Take those steps and you will find your God given courage to face life ahead of you without fear and inaction.)
conclusion:
for most of my life, my spiritual life and my physical existence in the world were two distinct spheres of my existence, like working at a mob run casino, and taking a Spiritual "vacation" from that life. This is not how it should be. Our Spiritual life empowers us in this world to act, and to transform the hearts of others around us..... to know the wiles of the devil, to counteract them and live empowered spiritual lives, using the weapons of our warfare properly. Our Spiritual powers enable us to stop fighting each other and to see who the real enemy is, the principalities and powers of this world. Use the tazer, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of power, and Love, and of a sound mind, to confound those principalities and shock them with your lack of fear. (2 Timothy 1:7, Isaiah 19:3, Ephesians 6:11-12, 2 Corinthians 2:4-6, Colossians 2:10, Romans 8:38-39)
