Did you know that the Book of Esther is an allegory for the new covenant Jerusalem Jew's and Gentiles who's roots are hidden(in Christ), adopted by Mordecai THE JEW(Jesus) who was cleansed and prepared to replace the disobedient queen Vashti(old covenant Jerusalem) to spare her people from the evil Hamon(devil)and his 10 UN sons who hate Mordacai and the Jews, because Mordecai(Jesus) refuses to bow to the dastardly ways of Hamon.
The Bible tells us that all who join themselves to the Jews throughout all generations are to celebrate the 2 days which are 14th & 15th of Adar. We as Esther are of the commonwealth of Israel and while there are still unbelieving Jews they are still loved by God and we must not say to them, stay as you are for God is going to save you.. We are to cast them out of that covenent of disobedience that holds them bondage into the covenant of reconciliation by the Spirit of God having received Christ as their covenant of salvation(SALVAGED Israel)
When something is restored, you try to use as many of the ORIGINAL parts as you can find first, then you use parts that have been made to LOOK LIKE the original ones to complete it to restoration. That is what God is doing and we must bring as many unbelieving Jews into the TEMPLE OF GOD/BODY OF CHIRST before it is too late. Mordecai says that if Esther does not speak up for the Jews to bring them into the new covenant before Hamon destroys them, for all outside of Christ SHALL be destroyed, then their deliverance will come from some where else and we shall be destroyed as well for who know's if we have been raised up for SUCH A TIME AS THIS?

We never harm Jews(nor any man) as some have errored in scripture to believe they do service for God. Because of them is our salvation come. However we can not fear what man is going to do to them, our mission is to return the favor to get them saved so that they can come out for the bondage of the flesh and into the freedom of the Spirit of life having been taught how to do what is right without the law hanging over their heads because they, like all unbelievers, being of the fallen flesh, don't know how to do right, just as we didn't but now are being taught by the Spirit of life.

Today is the 13 of Adar on the Jewish calendar and tommorrow is the 14, monday the 15th and I do believe that the church is to be celebrating these day with feasting and gift giving for it says all who join themselves to the Jews. Our roots are Jewish if you are in Christ the Olive tree, the TRUE VINE that branches were broken off so that other's MAY be grafted in.

There are coming 4 blood moons and 1 solor eclipse in the years 20-14 & 20-15 on Passover which is also always falls on the 14th and 15th of Nisan. And on the Feast of Tabernacles(where the earthly tents will torn down and changed to our heavenly tents) which always begins on the 14th and 15th of Tishrei. God said the planets and stars are for signs and seasons(spiritual) from Him to us. We do not use the zodiac for personal horoscopes, that is evil. But they tell the story of Jesus birth rule and reign.
One 1948 & 1967 there were 4 blood moons and we know what these dates were in Jewish history.
Tommorrow the Book of Esther is read. Let us open our eyes to the allegory for us who are in the days that this is going to come about.

Purim is a celebration of deliverance. When you celebrate Christ each day, you are observing Purim, because He was our deliverance and IS our deliverance, each day.

All types and shadows of Christ in the OT, have been fulfilled in the Person of Christ. I find it more satisfying to celebrate the REALITY, Who has come.

No need to swear allegiance to a an earthly country, for Christ is now our "Country". "In Him we live and move and have our being."

No need to celebrate a specific day during the week, because Christ is become our perpetual DAY.

No need to celebrate feasts, because Christ is our perpetual Feast.

My root is the "root of Jesse." I trace my birth to the Spirit of the Living God, Jesus Christ.

No need to be concerned with geneaologies, but rather all importance is given to whether we are related to Christ or not.

P.S.

Nothing wrong with Christians who celebrate days, seasons and feasts as long as they don't alienate other Believers or Believers who don't celebrate these types and shadows (that are passing away), should not alienate the ones who do. The important focus is Christ, Who will never pass away.

On the other hand, one has complete freedom in Christ to celebrate days, seasons, and feasts as long as they do not diminish or replace Jesus Christ.

So, may the Lord bless you as you celebrate the Feast of Purim and may He bless us all as we celebrate Him, each day.

True Jesus is the one who will fullfill all Feasts just as the Spring Feast of Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits and Pentecosts which was for the body of Christ to experience after Jesus's death burial and resurrection and where already fulfilled... now the Fall Feasts of Feast of Trumpet's( Two witnesses to assemle the people of God), Day of Atonement( Earthquake in Jerusalem where 1/10 tithe portion of the city will fall and the 7,000 reserved remnant of devout Jews will die) Jew first, Feast of Tabernacles(Body of Christ CAUGTH UP exchanging earthly tents for heavenly tabernacle) and PURIM which is for the body of Christ who will help save the Jews from their enemies destruction by speaking up FOR THEM to be saved(preaching Christ). Their enemies include all unbelievers rather Jew or Gentile. You don't have to be a Gentile to hate the Word of God and those who bring it.
If you pay close attention to what the disciples did every sabbath, you will see that they went to the synagog to try to convert the Jews to save them. They did not go to just sit and worship with the unbelieving Jews but to tell them the Truth. Purim is not really about us protecting the unsaved Jew, it is about us being raised up for such a time as this to bring them into the kingdom of God's dear Son.

Do you know that all people will keep the Feasts of Tabernacles even in the new age to come or else they will get NO RAIN?
Zech 14:9 - Mal 1:1
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. {NUCLEAR WAR}

13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowl's before the altar.
21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Jewish eschatology was always focused on future events while Christian eschatology is always focused on Christ. A Christian cannot go wrong as long as they keep their focus on Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of their faith. Keep your eyes on Him and you will get all the "Rain" you need.

I always exalt up and keep my eyes on the Word of life... all of him even in the OT
1 John 1:1-4
1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

Messianic Jews observe Purim as well as most other Jewish celebrations.
That's cool, too. I all for people expressing their Liberty in Christ, but not taking another's liberty away. I believe the Scriptures teach the same.

(I am not Jewish) but Some of the most insightful reading comes from the Messianic Jews. They have a completely different viewpoint than we Gentiles and it is very informative and enlightening.

They are Christians in the truest sense and scratch their heads in puzzlement over the strange things we gentile Christians do ..... and that is the main reason they do not readily join in our congregations but form their own messianic groups..

here is a short quote from Arnold Fruchtenbaum's book ..... "The Remnant of Israel"

......... the local church today is a gentile cultured church and is quite foreign to most Jews. it is a culture from which a Jew shies away , not because he feels superior , but simply because gentile culture is so strange.

Such things as crosses , legalistic do's and don'ts , and church procedure are very gentile. These do not come out of the scriptures but have developed in the course of history with gentile domination of the church.

This does not mean that influence of gentile culture is biblically wrong. it simple means it is not Jewish.

I scratch my head at modern day Christendom, too. The answer is not to be Jew-like or Gentile-like, but rather to be Christ-like in our behaviour.

If we are not Christ-like, then it matters not how Jewish one is.
