Question- God Testing You?

Hi,

A question- do you think it is in the character of God to test you 24/7 for years at a time? This seems to be happening to me but I am not sure. Thanks

I don't think God is out to test you nonstop just to watch you squirm. Some seasons just feel like constant pressure, and it helps to stay honest with Him about how tired you are. Psalm 103:13 says "as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him." What's been going on that makes it feel that way?

No, God is not testing us, but is revealing us.

So, if looked at as a test...what is important, is how we respond. Meaning, we don't have to even succeed, and whether we pass or fail is not the point. The point is-- what we are made of. Are we a struggling child of God, or an angry and reluctant child of a godless universe or Satan.

Why is he "revealing" us? Because He is dividing the light from the darkness, by how we act and respond to this world we [fell] into. Then comes the Judgement, where many who seemingly succeed will fail, and many who seemingly fail will succeed. What it all boils down to, is, where's your heart--and do you believe God can save you, and has sent His Son to do so.

It is written that God does not tempt us, but He does test us to make us grow to new levels of obedience. He must have great plans for you. I'm in one of those new level trials now myself.

Look at the Israelites. They are STILL God's chosen people, and their lives were nothing but trials for centuries.
