Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Quicken: transitive verb.
to make alive :
revive. : to cause to be enlivened:stimulate.
The oldest meaning of quicken, however, is "come to life,"
When we invite the Holy Ghost to fill our minds with light and knowledge, He “quickens” us, that is to say, enlightens and enlivens the inner man or woman. As a result we notice a measurable difference in our soul. We feel strengthened, filled with peace and joy, & have a deeper understanding of his word. We are more effective in sharing the gospel. We have power in our everyday walk and in our prayer life!
PSALMS 119:154 KJV
"Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word."
May we be made alive in Christ as we ask, seek & knock calling upon the name; the only name whereby we ARE SAVED!........JESUS. Amen!
