Rainbow Discovery is a short series of Bible studies especially written for people interested in discovering Jesus – who he is and why he came. Free, printable PDF files will be linked here. Just print them out on standard size paper (A4 or Letter) then come back to discuss.

There is also a complementary book of 'Rainbow Bible Readings'. It may be downloaded, printed, and folded into an easy reference booklet. Use A4 paper back-to-back, then fold into an easy reference booklet for completing the questions.

Let’s go! Study one is called, 'Jesus - the key to understanding.'

On the first page is a stunning picture of Lake Matheson (NZ) This glacial lake is so reflective that, if you turn the picture over, it’s hard to tell the difference. Only a simple picture, but it illustrates the opening words from the Bible’s book of Hebrews: - The Son shows exactly what God is like!

Fill in the missing words from Hebrews 1:1-3 and John 14:8-9

Let’s do it together. Discuss :shine:

Hi Gedge, who do you say Jesus is sir? Jesus once asked that very question.

Absolutely good comment Robert. This series has 6 parts and study 2 will be ‘Who actually is Jesus Christ?’ Study 1 concludes by emphasising, the life and teaching of Jesus is found in the Bible. It might seem to be labouring an obvious fact, but have you noticed how, in the old evangelistic campaigns, thousands of people found Jesus after a good half-hour sermon about who he is, whereas in modern times we spend a little longer establishing the basics? There are many who haven’t even read the good news.

I think that in todays generation we need to start where Luke started. Eye witnesses. The gospels were not legends, but an accurate historical record about Jesus.

BTW. Just call me Chris.

God created his rainbow and placed it in the clouds as a sign of his covenant. He made a promise. A human example of ‘covenant’ is the case of marriage where a ring is the symbol of a new relationship. Similarly, the glory that God displays in his rainbow is his pledge written in the sky that he cares and enters into a living relationship with those who trust in him.

Yes, which God revealed as a sign, and now has revealed it again.
