Are rainbows a sign from God that all is well in the land. Is it a good sign from God?

Rainbow, an arch of colors formed in the sky in certain circumstances, caused by the refraction and dispersion of the sun's light by rain or other water droplets in the atmosphere.

So no its not anything more than that.

And please don't ask me about magnets. Else I'll have to explain insane clown posse and I'll be here all night.

Gen 9:12-17 NIV And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” 17So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”

That's different from your OP.

You asked does it mean all is alright in the land, not is it a promise kept.

Apples and oranges.

Are rainbows a sign from God that all is well in the land.

That's what you said.

No its not a sign all is well. Its a sign he will keep his promise.

What you asked is different than the flood account.

I always figured it meant the storm is over. At least for the time being.

If you didn't want to hear the answer that no rainbows are not a sign all is well in the land and rather wanted a discussion about Noah, then you should have posted that.

But you didn't. And so I answered based on the question presented.

It would be like me asking if everyone liked chocolate and when some one said I don't like chocolate I replied with a retort about waffles.

When they asked what that had anything to do with chocolate I could hastily add well your can put chocolate on them do its the same idea.

Now would that sound mad? I think it would.

Or did your just post that to elicit the response, yeah God is awesome?

Look if you want to praise God on rainbows then simply state God makes awesome rainbows didn't he?

To which then, I can reply, yes he does great work.
