But only one who was hand picked by Jesus decided to turn away and serve satan.
Being a Christian means being a follower (imitator) of God as one of His Dear Children found in Ephesians 5:1
Following the Lord means doing what Jesus did which is NOT turning away when presented with opportunity to do so.
Jesus defined Judas as "A Devil"
you dont have to be a born again Christian to be a disciple of Christ.
Yes, after he turned away from the Lord and became a servant of satan.
John 3:3 - Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God
Those who have not been born again are still disciples of the devil.
A friend wrote an essay on judas, and I asked what the conclusion was....judas had a choice, just like we do, and he failed...a warning to believers, to choose to serve God rather than the devilActually, Jesus Defind Judas as "A Devil" before the Last Supper.

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Matt 9:23 |
Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. Luke 22:3 |
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: Luke 22:31 |
You dont "see" the KOG with your eyeballs.
Actually, Jesus Defind Judas as "A Devil" before the Last Supper.

Notice first that Jesus didn't say that Judas had a devil....or was demon possessed, but that Judas "" IS a Devil." (KJV).
He will and they won't the the ones following or teaching the false doctrines taught in all the churches todayDo you think he will find “real Christians” on the earth when he returns
One person told me that there's no point looking for real Christians in the west...so yes, but the far east is where Jesus will find real faith“Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
(Luke 18:8, WEB)
Do you think he will find “real Christians” on the earth when he returns @Pet?
None the less, judas was not always a devil.
Notice prior to that Jesus gave the Holy Spirit to Judas (Matthew 10:1-8

Look at that! Satan got fitted for a suit.
hoping so, I may move east though ☺I think he will find “real Christians” in the far east when he returns. You’re in the west. If Jesus returns in your lifetime, wouldn’t he find you?
hoping so, I may move east though ☺
& how about you?
I’m blessed to be living where I want to be. I’m persuaded that ”real Christians” are scattered throughout the earth and have no plans to relocate. I believe he will find the faith wherever it still exists in the world when he returns.
God is looking for people in the days to come who are inhabiting His fertile field. Where they have sent roots down into His fertile soil to draw nourishment directly from God so that they may live in the knowledge of the Lord their God.
My paraphrasing of Genesis 12:3 reads this way: -
Genesis 12:3: - 3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;And in/through you all the families of the earth/inhabiting my fertile soil shall be blessed."
Please note that H:0127 has the root meaning of Soil which I have chosen to paraphrase as "inhabiting my fertile soil," but that the translators have opted to translate H:0127 as "of the earth" which is much broader that what I believe God contextually intended.
In Deuteronomy the Hebrew Root word H:0127 can be found in eight verses where I believe the intended meaning is "fertile soil"
Deu 4:10: - 10 especially concerning the day you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me, 'Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth/in my fertile field, and that they may teach their children.'
Deu 11:9: - 9 and that you may prolong your days in the land/fertile soil which the Lord swore to give your fathers, to them and their descendants, 'a land flowing with milk and honey.'
Deu 28:63: - 63 And it shall be, that just as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good and multiply you, so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you and bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land/fertile field which you go to possess.
Deu 29:28: - 28 And the Lord uprooted them from their land/fertile field in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land/earth, as it is this day.'
Deu 30:18 - 18 I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land/fertile field which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.
Deu 30: 20 - 20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land/fertile field which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."
Deu 32:43 - 43 "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people;
For He will avenge the blood of His servants,
And render vengeance to His adversaries;
He will provide atonement for His land/fertile field and His people."
Deu 32: 47 - 47 For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land/fertile field which you cross over the Jordan to possess."
God's promise is that when He begins gathering the Israelites to Himself that He will plant them in His Fertile Field and not in the "Promised Land." This can be confirmed by reading the scriptures with a good interlinear Bible next to us.
So wherever "Christians" chose to live scattered throughout the whole earth, they should understand that they need to send down their roots into God's fertile soil/field where they are living so that they too can be a blessing to the people living around them.
Shalom
Would you extend this to Matthew 5:5?
The meek shall inherit - not the earth, but rather - the fertile field?
Jesus is qualifying who among Abraham's descendants will inherit the whole earth.
