I suppose if one spoke and understood Greek, you should hear them saying that...but the very sad thing is that people don't tend to go that deep anymore, to be crucified with Christ. It takes a REAL man or woman of God to "sell all they have" and follow Christ.
People don't realize that we've each been given the perfect gift (without blemish) to sacrifice to God...but will we?? We'd rather argue over semantics.

A term they do use is, "It's all Greek to me!"
What do you think crucified with Christ means?

what many do not realize , because they truly do not care , is that many new age and its mysticism
Has long infiltrated christendom .
THEY TOOK the evil deeds and pratices of such a thing
and just chrisantized it . AS IF THAT ALL of a sudden makes it ALL OKAY .
Witchcraft with a cover of wool , IS ALL IT IS my friend .
But the sheep do not HEED it or them .
WHY .
CAUSE JESUS HAS THE SHEEP and the voice of rebellion and of a stranger THEY JUST WILL NOT HEED or follow .
JESUS leads HIS own my friend and it is not into the darkness , as this other jesus do and will and call it light ,
NO SIR , JESUS IS THE LIGHT and HE IS THE TRUTH and Giveth LIFE eternal unto his sheep .

No it’s not a biblical term. Do you hear Christian’s saying my ego has been crucified with Christ.

I’m not arguing that ego isn’t the same thing as the flesh or self. I’m saying Christians don’t use the word ego but New Agers do.

I think the word "ego" is Latin for "I".

I (ego) could be wrong hlf

Working full time for the Lord, that's awesome. In my early Christian life I had the same wish.

Why would you care what I think? I'm a nobody in the greater scheme of creation.
The bigger question is what does God require??
I'm surprised you don't have an answer to that question, considering all you've written in this thread, as though you understand these things.

Much love!

You’re not a nobody. You don’t have to answer, I just thought it might be good to dig into to that aspect.
Being as this is what begins our Christian life, I'd think people would be interested. But when someone chooses to not answer such a basic question, it always makes me wonder.

Much love!

I haven’t heard him say that. i would guess, as usual, it’s your interpretation of something he said since you often seem to hear something he doesn’t say while not hearing what he DOES say.
Episkopos believes that those who don't know Jesus are saved if they live "righteously", even if they worship idols due to their ignorance of who God is and haven't had a chance to hear the gospel. (And he is free to clarify if anything is being misunderstood here.) I didn't know worshiping idols could be considered part of righteous living. People may be good to their families and neighbours and appear outwardly righteous, but still have all kinds of other sins that are done in secret as well. There is no one truly righteous, apart from Christ. A kumbya gospel doesn't save anyone.

The "wicked" or "filthy" is the 4th state

Rv 22:11
1 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Who are the filthy? Simply fallen unredeemed man from what I could find, in case it helps here:

Job 15:16
How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?

Psa 14:3
They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Psa 53:3
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Isa 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Zec 3:3-4
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

The unjust are being compared with the righteous (who are just/redeemed), and the filthy are in comparison with the holy (who are clean/pure/redeemed). Scripture very often conveys a single idea in couplets I think it is called (?)....saying the same thing in two different ways.

I think the term I've heard is "parallelisms". Yes, that appears often in Scripture.

I’ve learned pretty much everything I know about Christianity through Bible and doctrinal discussions with other believers. I feel like my understanding of what it means to be crucified with Christ may be lacking.

Debate usually brings my thinking to areas it might not have gone to otherwise.

That’s the new age religion. Everybody can be saved, Christ isn’t needed and in fact you can become Christ.
