I find it encoraging . After what , 80 years? , of persecution and hiding , the Church is clearly healthy there.
The culture in the west has deteriorated so much, that its only a matter of time till the Church suffers a persecution as bad or worse than it experienced in Russia...

Hold fast!

Peace!

Yes, sir. Insightful.

To take the paragraphs in turn:
"[Ted Byfield Blog] Patrick Joseph Buchanan, paleo-conservative columnist, broadcaster, and senior aide to three Republican presidents (Reagan, Ford and Nixon) would scoff if anyone were to seriously propose adorning him with another title, notably that of prophet. Nonetheless, he seems far ahead of the pack in discerning a tendency in the ongoing Culture War, which could result in one of the most astonishing flip-flops ever recorded."

Actually Rick Joyner prophesied this flip flop was coming almost 40 years ago. Let me see if I can't find the exact passage... most of this excerpt relates to the distant future, but notice the last line especially. This is the trend we are slowly starting to witness now:

"In some Communist countries religious tolerance will increase, but seldom to the degree that it could be considered true religious freedom. In the nations that remain "free" or democratic, religious intolerance will increase until believers will be in some degree of danger in every nation on earth...

The most severe persecution against believers will come in countries which now enjoy religious freedom. A number of these governments will align themselves with the false church [read mainline denominational Christianity, which will morph into something ugly during the end-times]. This false church will have allegiance and authority over most of the populations of what is left of the "free world." This church will incite governments and populations against all Christians who do not submit to its authority.

The unfolding in some communist countries will have been very different. The false church will not have gained political power in most of these. Often in reaction to the false church, these governments will have given great liberty to true believers who will labor in the harvest in relative peace, their "dark night" already turned into day. Powerful apostolic teams will come out of Russia, China, and Islamic countries, giving strength to the persecuted church throughout the world." (The Harvest, P.153-154)

Another quote from your link:
"The figure behind the rebirth of eastern Christendom, and widely identified with it, is none other than President Vladimir Putin. He was baptized by his mother secretly, because his father was a senior official in the KGB. Putin has been a weekly church-goer through most of his life. He regards the secularist repudiation of Christianity in the West — with its unrestrained promotion of formerly forbidden sex practices and an educational philosophy totally alien to Christianity– as ultimately spelling the doom of America. and he does not shrink from saying so."

Not the LEAST bit surprised by Putin. Whenever the press in the United States incessantly sings the praises of a political leader, beware. It virtually guarantees that person is an evil individual serving the elite. If however they incessantly vilify someone, it almost with certainty means the opposite: This is someone generally operating on the side of good and who stands in the way of what Satan is trying to accomplish in the earth.
