Hi there!

So a short point: it was God that sent Jesus; but it was Wisdom that prepared Him (selah)

We need to think about how much time we have and what we are going to devote it to - too much honeycomb makes you sick (as Solomon said), but is the honeycomb a relationship to God or a connection with Wisdom? Which way do you prefer to go?

In the end, our lives are a balance of what we've trusted most - it pays to think about these things, while we can still do something about them!

I hope this is something for you to mull over!

Jesus, the Living Word, walked in the written Word.

He read the Law, the Prophets, and the Psalms—what we call the Old Testament—immersing Himself in the sacred texts that testified of Him (Luke 24:27). As a child, He grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52), not merely by natural development, but through divine guidance.

Yahavah, the Father, upheld Him by the Holy Spirit.

At His baptism, the Spirit descended like a dove (Matthew 3:16), and from that moment, Jesus was led, empowered, and anointed to fulfill the Father's will (Isaiah 61:1; Luke 4:18).

Though He had liberty to choose, His love for the Father bound Him to obedience: “Not My will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42). In this holy tension, true freedom was revealed—not in self-will, but in surrender.

He chose the cross. He embraced the grave. And He rose to give us liberty.

Through His death and resurrection, He broke the chains of sin and death, so that we might walk in the freedom of the Spirit (Romans 8:2; Galatians 5:1). As Paul writes, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Corinthians 3:17).
