I am a Christian without a religion. I believe all religions are false, and tools of Satan.
I know first hand from being a slave in two false religions, how to identify a false religion. Yes we can serve God without a religion. He warns: “Get out of them my people.”
How do you know if your religion is false? simple…look for false doctrines they support.
God will help you reason the things that are false. Here is a simple example of questions to ask yourself:
“If Jesus is God, why did he say, “Do not pray to me, but to the Father through me.”
That makes no sense if they are the same person? That would warrant looking into.
If Jesus and the Father are not the same person, than saying they are, would be taking glory away from the Father, and giving it to the Son…unless they are the same person. How do we prove something true, or false? the scriptures will give a correct answer. Unless God has blinded a person.
It’s not a simple thing to test your own religion. It makes you feels like you don’t trust God. He says to test it. 1 John 4:1
Being in a religion give comfort, and trust. Like all other things Satan uses to snag Gods people,,,he makes it feel desirable. Many who have found their religion false, take that as God is false. Those of you who have religions know of other religions that are false…test yours…God wants you to. If you find it’s not false, stay in it, but test it.

It seems you went from one silly church to another. You can't be a Christian without a religion because Christian is a religion.

Are you quoting what someone else believes, or are you expressing your own belief that Jesus said "Do not pray to me"?

1 John 4:1 does not say test your religion. It says test the spirits with the benchmark of whether or not it (by way of the person speaking) teaches Jesus is incarnate and of God.

I understand the OP and agree! Don't follow men...follow God.

It goes a lot like this...

Jer 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
Jer 17:6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
Jer 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

Christian means "Follower of Christ." It does not mean religion.

What you call silly churches, has, and is still deceiving millions of people.

People don't know when their in a cult. IMO...The catholic church is a very big cult. The pope who just quit was in the Hitler Youth, and the German Army in WW3...He was taken prisoner by the U.S. Army during combat.

i joined the Catholic church as an adult. i studied Catholic doctrine and church history for two years before i decided to reconcile with the church. i know what i believe and i joined the church with my eyes open.

you are right - the last pope was part of the hitler youth, which means that he was the right age at the wrong time in history. We were both Americans during the Bush years, which included torture and preemptive war and now during the Obama era, which includes illegal drone attacks in sovereign nation - including attacks again American citizens. Ratzinger had little choice but to join the Hitler youth corps - we are supposed to be the true government of America - who is more culpable.

You defend the JWs, which i believe you acquired your rabid hatred of the Catholic Church - you really need to come out of the JWs completely - nothing about their doctrine is based in scholarship or truth.
